Qisas al-Anbiya by Ibn Kathir (قصص الأنبياء لابن كثير)

Ibn Kathir (d. 774 AH) · ابن كثير

Qisas al-Anbiya, extracted from Ibn Kathir's great history al-Bidaya wa-l-Nihaya, is the classical treatment of the prophets' stories: the narratives assembled from the Qur'an and sound reports, with the historian-muhaddith's sifting of the isra'iliyyat. Adam to Isa in one sweep of masterly 8th-century prose — and one of the most rewarding first classical texts for a reader who already knows the stories.
