- And He Almighty said: 'So for their breaking of their covenant, their disbelief in the signs of God, their killing of the prophets without right, and their saying: Our hearts are wrapped—rather, God has sealed them with their disbelief, so they do not believe except for a few. And for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander. And their saying: We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of God. But they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but it was made to appear so to them. And those who differ over it are in doubt about it; they have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, certainly. Rather, God raised him to Himself, and God is Exalted in Might, Wise. And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in him before his death, and on the Day of Resurrection, he will be a witness against them.'
