ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: السَّبَقُ ثَلَاثَةٌ: فَالسَّابِقُ إِلَى مُوسَى: يُوشَعُ بْنُ نُونٍ، وَالسَّابِقُ إِلَى عِيسَى: صَاحِبُ يس، وَالسَّابِقُ إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ: عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، فَإِنَّهُ حَدِيثٌ لَا يَثْبُتُ، لِأَنَّ حُسَيْنًا هَذَا مَتْرُوكٌ شِيعِيٌّ مِنَ الْغُلَاةِ وَتَفَرُّدَهُ بِهَذَا مِمَّا يَدُلُّ عَلَى ضَعْفِهِ بِالْكُلِّيَّةِ.. وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.

ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
Ibn 'Uyaynah reported from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, from Ibn 'Abbas, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
السَّبَقُ ثَلَاثَةٌ: فَالسَّابِقُ إِلَى مُوسَى: يُوشَعُ بْنُ نُونٍ، وَالسَّابِقُ إِلَى عِيسَى: صَاحِبُ يس، وَالسَّابِقُ إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ: عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، فَإِنَّهُ حَدِيثٌ لَا يَثْبُتُ، لِأَنَّ حُسَيْنًا هَذَا مَتْرُوكٌ شِيعِيٌّ مِنَ الْغُلَاةِ وَتَفَرُّدَهُ بِهَذَا مِمَّا يَدُلُّ عَلَى ضَعْفِهِ بِالْكُلِّيَّةِ.. وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
There are three who were first to believe: Joshua son of Nun was the first to follow Moses, the companion of Ya-Sin was the first to follow Jesus, and Ali ibn Abi Talib was the first to follow Muhammad. This report is baseless, as this Husayn is an abandoned narrator and an extremist Shiite; his sole narration of this tradition is a clear indication of his utter unreliability. Allah knows best.
