كِتَابَةُ الْأَلِفِ:

Writing the Alif:

أُلَاحِظُ شَكْلَ الْحَرْفِ.

I observe the shape of the letter.

زَاوِيَةُ الْبَدْءِ وَالِانْتِهَاءِ ثَابِتَةٌ تُسَاوِي ٤٥ دَرَجَةً، أُلَاحِظُ مَيْلَ الْحَرْفِ الْبَسِيطَ لِلْيَمِينِ.

The starting and ending angles are fixed at 45 degrees, and I note the letter's slight slant to the right.

أُلَاحِظُ أَنَّ الْأَجْزَاءَ الْمُلَوَّنَةَ بِاللَّوْنِ الْأَحْمَرِ مِنْ نَاحِيَةِ الرَّسْمِ وَالشَّكْلِ هِيَ حَرْفُ الْأَلِفِ.

I observe that the red-colored parts, in terms of their drawing and shape, form the letter Alif.

الطَّعَامُ.

Food.

لَنْ.

Will not.

فَائِدَةٌ: النُّقْطَةُ وَحْدَةُ الْقِيَاسِ فِي الْخَطِّ الْعَرَبِيِّ.

Note: The dot is the unit of measurement in Arabic calligraphy.

ارْتِفَاعُ حَرْفِ الْأَلِفِ ثَلَاثُ نِقَاطٍ.

The height of the Alif is three dots.

أَكْتُبُ الْكَلِمَتَيْنِ الْآتِيَتَيْنِ بِخَطِّ الرُّقْعَةِ: الِابْتِسَامَاتُ، الرِّضَا.

I write the following two words in Ruq'ah script: Smiles, Satisfaction.
