شَرْحُ رِيَاضِ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ كَلَامِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

A Commentary on Riyadh as-Salihin, drawn from the words of the Master of the Messengers, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

أَمَّا إِذَا جُعِلَ فِي هَذَا الِانْتِظَارِ حِكَمٌ مَأْثُورَةٌ نَظْمًا أَوْ نَثْرًا وَمَا أَشْبَهَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْأَشْيَاءِ النَّافِعَةِ الْمُفِيدَةِ فَلَا بَأْسَ ، وَالْحِكَمُ وَاسِعَةٌ كَثِيرَةٌ،

There is no harm in using this waiting time to share traditional wisdom, whether in verse or prose, or other beneficial and useful material; such wisdom is vast and abundant.

أَمَّا أَنْ يُجْعَلَ كَلَامُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ الَّذِي نَزَلَ لِإِصْلَاحِ الْقُلُوبِ وَالْأَعْمَالِ وَالْأَفْرَادِ وَالشُّعُوبِ آلَةً لِلِانْتِظَارِ عَلَى الْهَاتِفِ، فَالْقُرْآنُ أَشْرَفُ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ كَذَلِكَ،

However, to use the words of the Lord of the Worlds—revealed to reform hearts, deeds, individuals, and nations—merely as background noise for phone callers is beneath the dignity of the Quran.
