قَدْ يَحْصُلُ بِهِ كَمَا أَشَرْنَا عُدْوَانٌ مِنْ وُلَاةِ الْأُمُورِ عَلَى الشَّخْصِ بِلَا سَبَبٍ شَرْعِيٍّ. وَأَمَّا الْحَدِيثُ: فَيَقُولُ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ رَضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَنْهُ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا يُبَلِّغُنِي أَحَدٌ عَنْ أَحَدٍ شَيْئًا، فَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَخْرُجَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنَا سَلِيمُ الصَّدْرِ» وَهَذَا مِنْ حِكْمَةِ الرَّسُولِ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ أَنَّهُ لَا أَحَدَ يَنْقُلُ إِلَيْهِ كَلَامَ النَّاسِ؛ لِكَيْ لَا يَقَعَ فِي قَلْبِهِ شَيْءٌ عَلَى هَذَا الْمُتَكَلَّمِ فِيهِ، فَيُحِبُّ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَهُوَ سَلِيمُ الصَّدْرِ؛ وَلِهَذَا كَثِيرًا مَا يَكُونُ الْإِنْسَانُ مُحِبًّا لِشَخْصٍ يُقَدِّرُهُ وَيَرَى أَنَّهُ رَجُلٌ كَرِيمٌ وَرَجُلٌ سَلِيمٌ، ثُمَّ إِذَا نُقِلَ إِلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ عَنْ هَذَا الرَّجُلِ كَرِهَهُ وَنَفَرَ مِنْهُ وَصَارَ يَبْغَضُهُ، لَكِنْ كَمَا قُلْنَا أَوَّلًا: إِذَا اقْتَضَتِ الْمَصْلَحَةُ أَنْ نَتَكَلَّمَ فَلَا بُدَّ أَنْ نَتَكَلَّمَ؛ لِكَيْ لَا يَنْتَشِرَ الشَّرُّ وَالْفَسَادُ وَتَحْصُلَ الْفِتَنُ، وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.

(from previous page) ⟵ And among cooperating in sin and aggression is for a person to convey people's words or the words of a specific person to those in authority without a benefit necessitating that, for this may result, as we indicated, in aggression from those in authority against the person without a legitimate reason.
وَأَمَّا الْحَدِيثُ: فَيَقُولُ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ رَضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَنْهُ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا يُبَلِّغُنِي أَحَدٌ عَنْ أَحَدٍ شَيْئًا، فَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَخْرُجَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنَا سَلِيمُ الصَّدْرِ»
Regarding the Hadith, Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Let no one bring me reports about others, for I prefer to come out to you with a heart free of ill will.'
وَهَذَا مِنْ حِكْمَةِ الرَّسُولِ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ أَنَّهُ لَا أَحَدَ يَنْقُلُ إِلَيْهِ كَلَامَ النَّاسِ؛ لِكَيْ لَا يَقَعَ فِي قَلْبِهِ شَيْءٌ عَلَى هَذَا الْمُتَكَلَّمِ فِيهِ، فَيُحِبُّ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَهُوَ سَلِيمُ الصَّدْرِ؛
This reflects the wisdom of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): he discouraged people from carrying gossip to him so that his heart would remain untainted by prejudice against anyone. He wished to meet his companions with a clear and peaceful heart.
