بَابُ تَحْرِيمِ النَّمِيمَةِ. فَالْجَوَابُ نَعَمْ لَهُ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ، وَيَقُولَ: يَا فُلَانُ احْذَرْ هَذَا الشَّخْصَ، فَإِنَّهُ يَنْقُلُ كَلَامَكَ وَيَقُولُ فِيكَ كَذَا وَكَذَا؛ لِأَنَّ هَذَا مِنْ بَابِ النَّصِيحَةِ، وَلَيْسَ غَرَضُهُ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ، وَلَكِنَّ غَرَضَهُ أَنْ يُسْدِيَ النَّصِيحَةَ إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ، وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى يَقُولُ: ﴿وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْمُفْسِدَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِ﴾. وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.

Chapter on the prohibition of slander.
فَالْجَوَابُ نَعَمْ لَهُ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ، وَيَقُولَ: يَا فُلَانُ احْذَرْ هَذَا الشَّخْصَ، فَإِنَّهُ يَنْقُلُ كَلَامَكَ وَيَقُولُ فِيكَ كَذَا وَكَذَا؛ لِأَنَّ هَذَا مِنْ بَابِ النَّصِيحَةِ، وَلَيْسَ غَرَضُهُ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ، وَلَكِنَّ غَرَضَهُ أَنْ يُسْدِيَ النَّصِيحَةَ إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ،
The answer is yes, he may speak about him and say: 'O so-and-so, beware of this person, for he conveys your speech and says such-and-such about you,' because this is a matter of advice, and his purpose is not to cause division among people, but his purpose is to offer advice to his companion.
وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى يَقُولُ: ﴿وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْمُفْسِدَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِ﴾.
And Allah the Exalted says: 'And Allah knows the corrupter from the amender.'
