(from previous page) ⟵ He woke them up to pray, and he tightened his loincloth, meaning he prepared himself completely for work, because tightening the loincloth means that a person prepares himself for work and strengthens himself. The meaning of tightening the loincloth is that he (peace be upon him) avoids women, because he devotes himself to worship, and both of them...
During the final ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would dedicate himself to worship, spending the entire night in obedience to Allah.
This represents a supreme sacrifice of the self, offered solely for the sake of Allah, the Almighty. Ultimately, it is Allah who bestows His grace upon whichever of His servants He chooses.
