Line-by-line translation ·
- A Commentary on Riyadh as-Salihin, drawn from the words of the Master of the Messengers, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
- Scholars, may Allah have mercy on them, have differed on whether ritual purity is a requirement for this.
- The correct view is that it is not required, as this often occurs suddenly when one is unprepared. If a person were to stop to perform ablution, the delay between the cause and the act would be too great. Therefore, if one is not in a state of purity, they should proceed with the prostration. Allah is the Grantor of success.
