شَرْحُ رِيَاضِ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ كَلَامِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

Explanation of Riyadh as-Salihin from the words of the Master of the Messengers, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ؛ لِأَنَّ بِلَالَ بْنَ رَبَاحٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَأَلَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَرْجَى عَمَلٍ عَمِلَهُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي مَا تَوَضَّأْتُ مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ إِلَّا صَلَّيْتُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَأَقَرَّهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ، وَيَنْبَغِي فِي هَاتَيْنِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ أَنْ تَحْرِصَ غَايَةَ الْحِرْصِ عَلَى أَلَّا تُوَسْوِسَ فِيهِمَا، يَعْنِي لَا تُحَدِّثُ نَفْسَكَ بِأُمُورٍ خَارِجَ الصَّلَاةِ، بَلِ اجْمَعْ قَلْبَكَ وَقَالَبَكَ، قَالَ: «مَنْ أَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَا يُحَدِّثُ فِيهَا نَفْسَهُ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»، وَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ، سَوَاءٌ فِي بَيْتِهِ إِنْ تَوَضَّأَ فِي بَيْتِهِ، أَوْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ إِنْ تَوَضَّأَ فِي حَمَّامِ الْمَسْجِدِ، أَوْ فِي أَيِّ مَكَانٍ.

When you perform ablution, you should pray two rak'ahs, because the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, asked Bilal ibn Rabah, may Allah be pleased with him, about the most hopeful deed he had performed in Islam, and he said: 'I have never performed ablution by night or day without praying two rak'ahs,' and the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, approved of that. It is appropriate in these two rak'ahs that you strive with the utmost effort not to have intrusive thoughts during them, meaning do not speak to yourself about matters outside of the prayer, but rather gather your heart and your body. He said: 'Whoever performs ablution well, then prays two rak'ahs in which he does not speak to himself, Allah will forgive his past sins.' He should pray two rak'ahs, whether in his house if he performed ablution in his house, or in the mosque if he performed ablution in the mosque's washroom, or in any place.

وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.
