شَرْحُ رِيَاضِ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ كَلَامِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْضِي خَلْفَهُ صَفٌّ أَوْ أَكْثَرُ - فَهَذَا وَإِنْ كَانَ جَائِزًا لَكِنَّ الْأَفْضَلَ أَنْ يَنْتَظِرَ حَتَّى يُتِمَّ النَّاسُ صَلَاتَهُمْ، وَيُصَلُّوا عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ، وَهَذَا لَا يُفَوِّتُ شَيْئًا كَثِيرًا، فَغَايَةُ مَا هُنَالِكَ بِضْعُ دَقَائِقَ عَلَى الْأَكْثَرِ، وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.

(from previous page) ⟵ And the fact that some people, as soon as they greet, stand up and pray over the deceased - even though it is an explanation of Riyad al-Salihin from the words of the Master of Messengers, may God's prayers and peace be upon him.
يَقْضِي خَلْفَهُ صَفٌّ أَوْ أَكْثَرُ - فَهَذَا وَإِنْ كَانَ جَائِزًا لَكِنَّ الْأَفْضَلَ أَنْ يَنْتَظِرَ حَتَّى يُتِمَّ النَّاسُ صَلَاتَهُمْ، وَيُصَلُّوا عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ، وَهَذَا لَا يُفَوِّتُ شَيْئًا كَثِيرًا، فَغَايَةُ مَا هُنَالِكَ بِضْعُ دَقَائِقَ عَلَى الْأَكْثَرِ، وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.
If a row or more completes their prayer behind him, while permissible, it is better to wait for the congregation to finish their prayer and attend the funeral service. This causes little delay, as it amounts to only a few minutes at most. Allah is the Grantor of success.
