وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُكَرْدَسُ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَيُعَذَّبُ عَلَى حَسَبِ عَمَلِهِ.

And among the people are those who are thrown headlong into the fire of Hell and punished according to their deeds.

أَمَّا الْكُفَّارُ الْخُلَّصُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يَصْعَدُونَ عَلَى هَذَا الصِّرَاطِ وَلَا يَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِ، بَلْ يُذْهَبُ بِهِمْ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَصْعَدُوا هَذَا الصِّرَاطَ، وَيَذْهَبُونَ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًا،

As for the pure disbelievers, they do not ascend this bridge nor pass over it; rather, they are taken to Hell before they can ascend this bridge, and they go to Hell as a thirsty group.

إِنَّمَا يَصْعَدُهُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ فَقَطْ، لَكِنْ مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ ذُنُوبٌ لَمْ تُغْفَرْ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ يَقَعُ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ، وَيُعَذَّبُ بِحَسَبِ أَعْمَالِهِ، وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ.

Only the believers ascend it, but whoever had sins that were not forgiven may fall into the fire of Hell and be punished according to his deeds, and Allah knows best.
