بَابٌ فِي الدَّلَالَةِ عَلَى خَيْرٍ وَالدُّعَاءِ إِلَى هُدًى أَوْ ضَلَالَةٍ.

A chapter on indicating good and inviting to guidance or misguidance.

وَفِيهِ دَلِيلٌ أَيْضًا مِنْ كَلَامِ الصَّحَابَةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ أَنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ إِذَا بَذَلَ الشَّيْءَ فِي الْخَيْرِ فَإِنَّ الْأَفْضَلَ أَنْ يُنْفِذَهُ،

And in it is evidence also from the speech of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, that if a person exerts a thing for good, the best is to execute it.

فَمَثَلًا لَوْ أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَتَصَدَّقَ بِمَالٍ، وَعَزَلْتَ الْمَالَ الَّذِي تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ أَوْ تَبْذُلَهُ فِي مَسْجِدٍ، أَوْ فِي جَمْعِيَّةٍ خَيْرِيَّةٍ أَوْ مَا أَشْبَهَ ذَلِكَ، فَلَكَ الْخِيَارُ أَنْ تَرْجِعَ عَمَّا فَعَلْتَ؛

For example, if you wanted to give charity with money, and you set aside the money that you want to give as charity or exert it in a mosque, or in a charitable association or what resembles that, you have the choice to return from what you did.
