بَابُ الصَّبْرِ. فِي الْمَهْدِ آيَةٌ عَظِيمَةٌ، وَقَدْ شَهِدَ هَذَا الصَّبِيُّ بِأَنَّ أُمَّهُ عَلَى الْحَقِّ، فَصَبَرَتْ وَاقْتَحَمَتِ النَّارَ، وَهَذَا مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ، وَهُوَ دَلِيلٌ عَلَى أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى: ﴿وَيُنَجِّي اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ السُّوءُ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ﴾. وَمَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا خَرَجَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا وَذَهَبَتْ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّا وَهِيَ حَامِلٌ بِابْنِهَا عِيسَى الَّذِي خَلَقَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى بِكَلِمَةِ كُنْ فَكَانَ فَأَجَاءَهَا الْمَخَاضُ إِلَى جِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ، يَعْنِي: الطَّلْقَ، فَوَضَعَتْ تَحْتَ جِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ، وَجَعَلَ اللَّهُ تَحْتَهَا نَهْرًا يَمْشِي، فَقِيلَ لَهَا وَهُزِّي إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ تُسَاقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًا جَنِيًّا، رُطَبٌ يَقَعُ مِنْ فَرْعِ النَّخْلَةِ، جَنِيًّا لَمْ يَتَأَثَّرْ بِسُقُوطِهِ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ، وَهَذَا مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ؛ لِأَنَّ مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ أَنَّ الرُّطَبَ لَوْ سَقَطَتْ مِنْ يَدِ الْإِنْسَانِ - وَلَوْ كَانَ وَاقِفًا فَقَطْ - تَمَزَّقَتْ، لَكِنَّ هَذَا الرُّطَبَ لَمْ تَتَمَزَّقْ، مَعَ أَنَّهَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ فَرْعِ النَّخْلَةِ. ثُمَّ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْمَرْأَةَ امْرَأَةٌ ضَعِيفَةٌ، مَخَاضٌ، لَمْ تَلِدْ إِلَّا الْآنَ، وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ تَهَزُّ النَّخْلَةَ مِنْ جِذْعِهَا فَتَهْتَزُّ النَّخْلَةُ، فَهَذَا أَيْضًا مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ؛ لِأَنَّ الْعَادَةَ أَنَّ النَّخْلَةَ لَا تَهْتَزُّ مِنَ الْجِذْعِ إِلَّا إِذَا هَزَّهَا أَحَدٌ قَوِيٌّ مِنْ فَرْعِهَا، فَقِيلَ لَهَا: ﴿فَكُلِي وَاشْرَبِي وَقَرِّي عَيْنًا﴾، ثُمَّ أَتَتْ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُ، هَذَا الطِّفْلَ، فَصَاحُوا بِهَا يَا مَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْئًا فَرِيًّا، يَعْنِي: شَيْئًا عَظِيمًا؛ لِأَنَّهُمْ أَيْقَنُوا بِأَنَّهَا زَنَتْ - وَالْعِيَاذُ بِاللَّهِ - كَيْفَ يَأْتِيهَا وَلَدٌ مِنْ دُونِ زَوْجٍ؟ يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ امْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا، يَعْنِي: أَبَاكِ لَيْسَ امْرَأَ سَوْءٍ، وَكَذَلِكَ أُمُّكِ لَيْسَتْ بَغِيًّا، لَيْسَتْ زَانِيَةً، فَمِنْ أَيْنَ جَاءَكِ هَذَا؟ وَهَذَا تَعْرِيضٌ لَهَا بِالْقَذْفِ، فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ؛ يَعْنِي: اسْأَلُوهُ. قَالُوا: كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَنْ كَانَ فِي الْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّا، فَظَنُّوا أَنَّهَا تَسْخَرُ بِهِمْ، فَأَنْطَقَ اللَّهُ هَذَا الصَّبِيَّ: قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، كَلَامٌ فَصِيحٌ، قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيًّا.

بَابُ الصَّبْرِ.
(from previous page) ⟵ There is no greater patience than this: for a person to see the raging fire and then plunge into it out of fear for their faith and to preserve it. A woman came with her nursing infant, and when she saw the flames, she seemed to hesitate to plunge into the fire with her child. So the child said to her, "O mother, be patient, for you are upon the truth." He said this while being a small child who could not speak, but God, who makes all things speak, made him speak. This was a miracle for this mother, that God made her son speak so that she would be strengthened to plunge into the fire and remain steadfast in her faith, because the speech of this child is a chapter on patience.
فِي الْمَهْدِ آيَةٌ عَظِيمَةٌ، وَقَدْ شَهِدَ هَذَا الصَّبِيُّ بِأَنَّ أُمَّهُ عَلَى الْحَقِّ، فَصَبَرَتْ وَاقْتَحَمَتِ النَّارَ، وَهَذَا مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ، وَهُوَ دَلِيلٌ عَلَى أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى: ﴿وَيُنَجِّي اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ السُّوءُ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ﴾.
There is a great sign in the cradle. This child testified to his mother's righteousness, for she had been patient and faced the fire. This is one of God's signs, proving the truth of His words: 'God will deliver those who were mindful of Him to their place of success; no evil shall touch them, nor shall they grieve.'
وَمَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا خَرَجَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا وَذَهَبَتْ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّا وَهِيَ حَامِلٌ بِابْنِهَا عِيسَى الَّذِي خَلَقَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى بِكَلِمَةِ كُنْ فَكَانَ فَأَجَاءَهَا الْمَخَاضُ إِلَى جِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ، يَعْنِي: الطَّلْقَ، فَوَضَعَتْ تَحْتَ جِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ، وَجَعَلَ اللَّهُ تَحْتَهَا نَهْرًا يَمْشِي، فَقِيلَ لَهَا وَهُزِّي إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ تُسَاقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًا جَنِيًّا، رُطَبٌ يَقَعُ مِنْ فَرْعِ النَّخْلَةِ، جَنِيًّا لَمْ يَتَأَثَّرْ بِسُقُوطِهِ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ، وَهَذَا مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ؛ لِأَنَّ مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ أَنَّ الرُّطَبَ لَوْ سَقَطَتْ مِنْ يَدِ الْإِنْسَانِ - وَلَوْ كَانَ وَاقِفًا فَقَطْ - تَمَزَّقَتْ، لَكِنَّ هَذَا الرُّطَبَ لَمْ تَتَمَزَّقْ، مَعَ أَنَّهَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ فَرْعِ النَّخْلَةِ.
Maryam, daughter of Imran, left her family and went to a remote place while pregnant with her son, Isa, whom God created with the command 'Be' and he was. Labor pains drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She gave birth there, and God provided a flowing river beneath her. She was told to shake the trunk of the palm tree so that fresh, ripe dates would fall upon her. These dates fell from the branch, fresh and undamaged by the impact with the ground. This is a sign from God, for it is well known that if a date falls from a person's hand—even from a standing height—it usually bruises, yet these dates remained intact despite falling from the palm tree.
