The 'fa' is omitted while the consequence is still intended, as in 'Visit me, I will visit you.' The same applies to other examples. Is the verb made jussive by an implied condition—meaning 'Visit me, for if you visit me, I will visit you'—or by the preceding sentence? There are two opinions on this. The jussive is not permitted in negation, so you cannot say, 'You do not come to us, you talk to us.'
وَشَرْطُ جَزْمٍ بَعْدَ نَهْيٍ أَنْ تَضَعْ «إِنْ» قَبْلَ «لَا» دُونَ تَخَالُفٍ يَقَعُ
The condition for the jussive after a prohibition is that you place 'in' before 'la' without any contradiction arising.
The jussive is not allowed when the 'fa' is omitted after a prohibition, unless the meaning remains valid by assuming the conditional 'in' precedes 'la.' For example, you say, 'Do not approach the lion, you will be safe,' where 'taslam' is jussive because it is valid to say, 'If you do not approach the lion, you will be safe.' However, it is not allowed in the phrase, 'Do not approach the lion, it will eat you,' because it is not valid to say, 'If you do not approach the lion, it will eat you.'
The majority hold that the jussive-maker after a request is an implied condition, and they maintain that 'in' must be the specific particle implied. Another group argues that the preceding sentence itself is the jussive-maker. These are divided into two factions: one claims the sentence carries the meaning of a condition and thus functions as one, just as 'darban' functions in 'darban zaydan' because it carries the meaning of 'idrib.' The second faction argues the sentence acts as an operator because it serves as a substitute for the conditional particle. Others suggest the jussive-maker is an implied 'lam' of command. Upon investigation, there are four detailed opinions.
