بَابُ المَفْعُولِ بِهِ: وَهُوَ الاِسْمُ المَنْصُوبُ، الَّذِي يَقَعُ بِهِ الفِعْلُ، نَحْوُ: ضَرَبْتُ زَيْدًا، وَرَكِبْتُ الفَرَسَ.

Chapter on the Direct Object: This is the noun in the accusative case that receives the action, such as "I hit Zayd" or "I rode the horse."

وَهُوَ قِسْمَانِ: ظَاهِرٌ وَمُضْمَرٌ، فَالظَّاهِرُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ ذِكْرُهُ.
