يَقُولُ الْكَاتِبُ: «فَاحْسِبْ حِسَابَ مَنْ أَفْرَطَ فِيهَا فِي فَتْرَةٍ قَصِيرَةٍ مِنَ الزَّمَنِ، ثُمَّ فَقَدَ صِحَّتَهُ، فَلَمْ يَعُدْ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يُتَابِعَ نَزْعَتَهُ، وَحِسَابَ مَنِ اعْتَدَلَ فَطَالَ زَمَنُ مُتْعَتِهِ».

The writer says: 'Calculate the account of one who indulged excessively in it in a short period of time, then lost his health, and could no longer follow his inclination, and the account of one who was moderate, so the time of his enjoyment lasted.'

اسْتَخْرِجْ مِمَّا سَبَقَ كَلِمَتَيْنِ بَيْنَهُمَا عَلَاقَةُ تَضَادٍّ.

أ - الْفِكْرَةُ الْعَامَّةُ لِلنَّصِّ هِيَ:

A - The general idea of the text is:

لَا تَتَحَقَّقُ السَّعَادَةُ بِالْأُمُورِ الْمَادِّيَّةِ وَحْدَهَا.

That among the highest degrees of pleasure is the pleasure of knowledge and research.

مَدَى اعْتِزَازِهِ بِابْنِهِ.

The extent of his pride in his son.

كَيْفِيَّةُ تَثْقِيفِ الشَّبَابِ.

How to educate the youth.

ج - أَرَادَ الْكَاتِبُ لِابْنِهِ مِنْ خِلَالِ شَرْحِهِ الْفَرْقَ بَيْنَ لَذَّةِ الْعَقْلِ وَلَذَّةِ الْجِسْمِ أَنْ:

C - The writer wanted for his son, through his explanation of the difference between the pleasure of the mind and the pleasure of the body, to:

يَجْعَلَهُ فَيْلَسُوفًا.

Make him a philosopher.

يَزْهَدَ فِي مَأْكَلِهِ وَمَشْرَبِهِ.

Abstain from his food and drink.

يَفْهَمَ مَعْنَى اللَّذَّةِ فِي حُدُودِهَا الْوَاسِعَةِ.

Understand the meaning of pleasure in its broad limits.

يَرَى الْكَاتِبُ أَنَّ الْأَكْلَ وَالشُّرْبَ وَاللِّبَاسَ لَيْسَتْ مُرَادِفَةً لِلسَّعَادَةِ.

وَضِّحْ ذَلِكَ، وَهَلْ تَتَّفِقُ مَعَهُ؟ عَلِّلْ إِجَابَتَكَ.
