الْوَحْدَةُ الْأُولَى
الْقِرَاءَةُ
رِسَالَةٌ إِلَى سَائِقٍ مُتَهَوِّرٍ
مَعْرُوفٌ رَفِيقٌ مَحْمُودٌ
التَّعْرِيفُ بِالشَّاعِرِ:
1 - تَمَهَّلْ - فَدَيْتُكَ - فَوْقَ الطَّرِيقِ فَإِنَّ التَّهَوُّرَ يُدْنِي الْأَجَلْ
مَعْرُوفٌ رَفِيقٌ مَحْمُودٌ، -2- وَلَا تَتَعَجَّلْ وُصُولَ الْمَرَامِ فَقَدْ تَتَأَخَّرُ... أَوْ لَا تَصِلْ
وُلِدَ عَامَ 1935، عَمِلَ فِي
وَقَطْرٌ عَلَى شَفَةِ الْوَتَرِ".
تُوُفِّيَ عَامَ 2005.

حَقْلِ التَّعْلِيمِ، صَدَرَ لَهُ 3 - تَمَهَّلْ وَفَكِّرْ بِحَقِّ الطَّرِيقِ وَنَفِّذْ أَوَامِرَ خَيْرِ الرُّسُلِ
ا عِدَّةُ دَوَاوِينَ مِنْهَا: "صَرْخَةُ
مُسْلِمٍ" وَ"ابْتِهَالَاتٌ" -4 - وَفَكِّرْ بِحَقِّ الْمُشَاةِ الْحَيَارَى وَمُعْظَمُهُمْ خَائِفٌ أَوْ وَجِلْ
5- تَظُنُّ بِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَحِيدُ تَظُنُّ بِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْبَطَلْ
6 - أَمَا قَدْ ذَهَبْتَ لِقِسْمِ الْعِظَامِ لَعَلَّ الْكُسُورَ تُثِيرُ الْهِمَمْ
7- أَمَا قَدْ رَأَيْتَ فَقِيدًا تَهَادَى لَعَلَّكَ تَلْمِسُ مِنْهُ الْأَلَمْ
-8 أَيَا مَنْ تَقُودُ الْحَدِيدَ الْأَصَمَّ حَنَانَيْكَ فَالنَّاسُ لَحْمٌ وَدَمْ
و- حَبَاكَ الْإِلَهُ حَيَاةً فَصُنْهَا أَلَيْسَتْ حَيَاتُكَ أَحْلَى نَغَمْ ؟!
10 - فَكَيْفَ تُحِيلُ النَّعِيمَ جَحِيمًا أَلَيْسَ التَّهَوُّرُ دَرْبَ الْعَدَمِ ؟!

التَّائِهِينَ.
حَنَانَيْكَ:
دُعَاءٌ بِالرَّحْمَةِ وَالْعَطْفِ.

- تَمَهَّلْ - فَدَيْتُكَ - فَوْقَ الطَّرِيقِ فَإِنَّ التَّهَوُّرَ يُدْنِي الْأَجَلْ
- 1- Slow down - may I be your ransom - on the road, for recklessness brings death closer.
- مَعْرُوفٌ رَفِيقٌ مَحْمُودٌ، -2- وَلَا تَتَعَجَّلْ وُصُولَ الْمَرَامِ فَقَدْ تَتَأَخَّرُ... أَوْ لَا تَصِلْ
- Ma'rouf Rafiq Mahmoud, 2- Do not rush to reach your destination, for you might be delayed... or you might not arrive at all.

- أَمَا قَدْ ذَهَبْتَ لِقِسْمِ الْعِظَامِ لَعَلَّ الْكُسُورَ تُثِيرُ الْهِمَمْ
- 6- Have you not gone to the orthopedics department, perhaps the fractures might stir your resolve?
- أَمَا قَدْ رَأَيْتَ فَقِيدًا تَهَادَى لَعَلَّكَ تَلْمِسُ مِنْهُ الْأَلَمْ
- 7- Have you not seen a bereaved person walking unsteadily, perhaps you might touch the pain within him?
- أَيَا مَنْ تَقُودُ الْحَدِيدَ الْأَصَمَّ حَنَانَيْكَ فَالنَّاسُ لَحْمٌ وَدَمْ
- 8- O you who drive the deaf iron, have mercy, for people are flesh and blood.
- و- حَبَاكَ الْإِلَهُ حَيَاةً فَصُنْهَا أَلَيْسَتْ حَيَاتُكَ أَحْلَى نَغَمْ
- 9- God has granted you a life, so protect it; is your life not the sweetest melody?!
- فَكَيْفَ تُحِيلُ النَّعِيمَ جَحِيمًا أَلَيْسَ التَّهَوُّرُ دَرْبَ الْعَدَمِ
- 10- So how can you turn bliss into hell; is recklessness not the path to nothingness?!
