بَعْدَ هَزِيمَةِ عَامِ أَلْفٍ وَتِسْعِمِئَةٍ وَسَبْعَةٍ وَسِتِّينَ، وَاحْتِلَالِ الصِّفَةِ الغَرْبِيَّةِ وَغَزَّةَ، وَسَيْطَرَةِ الِاحْتِلَالِ الصِّهْيُونِيِّ عَلَى فِلَسْطِينَ جَمِيعِهَا، شَعَرَتِ الْأُمَّةُ الْعَرَبِيَّةُ وَالْإِسْلَامِيَّةُ بِالْقَهْرِ وَالْخَيْبَةِ وَالْخِذْلَانِ، فَجَاءَتْ مَعْرَكَةُ الْكَرَامَةِ فِي الْعَامِ التَّالِي، فَكَسَرَتْ شَوْكَةَ الْجَيْشِ الصِّهْيُونِيِّ؛ مَا أَعَادَ لِلْأُمَّةِ نَوْعًا مِنَ الْكَرَامَةِ وَالثِّقَةِ بِالنَّفْسِ.
