فَكَّرَ فِي حِيلَةٍ لِلْحُصُولِ عَلَى مَا يُرِيدُ، وَفَجْأَةً قَالَ لِلْغُرَابِ: صَوْتُكَ جَمِيلٌ يَا صَدِيقِي، هَيَّا غَنِّ لَنَا لِنَسْتَمْتِعَ سَوِيًّا بِغِنَائِكَ الْجَمِيلِ.

He thought of a trick to get what he wanted and suddenly said to the crow, "Your voice is beautiful, my friend. Come on, sing for us so we can enjoy your lovely song."

فَتَحَ الْغُرَابُ فَمَهُ؛ لِيُغَنِّيَ، فَسَقَطَتْ قِطْعَةُ الْجُبْنِ مِنْ مِنْقَارِهِ، فَالْتَقَطَهَا الثَّعْلَبُ، وَجَرَى فَرِحًا بِهَا.
