اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ

Allah is the One who created the heavens and the earth, sent down rain from the sky, and produced fruits from it as provision for you.

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْفُلْكَ لِتَجْرِيَ فِي الْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِ

He subjected ships to your service, to sail the sea by His command.

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْأَنْهَارَ

He subjected the rivers to you.

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ دَائِبَيْنِ

He subjected the sun and the moon to you, both following their constant courses.

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ

He subjected the night and the day to you.

وَآتَاكُم مِّن كُلِّ مَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُ

He gave you a portion of everything you asked of Him.

وَإِن تَعُدُّوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَا

If you tried to count Allah’s blessings, you could never enumerate them.

إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَظَلُومٌ كَفَّارٌ

Mankind is truly unjust and ungrateful.

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَذَا الْبَلَدَ آمِنًا وَاجْنُبْنِي وَبَنِيَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ الْأَصْنَامَ

Remember when Abraham said, 'My Lord, make this city secure and keep me and my sons from worshipping idols.'

رَبِّ إِنَّهُنَّ أَضْلَلْنَ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ

My Lord, they have led many people astray.

فَمَن تَبِعَنِي فَإِنَّهُ مِنِّي وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَإِنَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Whoever follows me belongs to me, and whoever disobeys me—well, You are Forgiving and Merciful.

رَبَّنَا إِنِّي أَسْكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِندَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ

Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in a barren valley near Your Sacred House.

رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِّنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُم مِّنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ

Our Lord, so that they may establish prayer; make the hearts of people incline toward them and provide them with fruits, that they might be grateful.

رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِي وَمَا نُعْلِنُ

Our Lord, You know what we conceal and what we declare.

وَمَا يَخْفَى عَلَى اللَّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ

Nothing on earth or in heaven is hidden from Allah.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي وَهَبَ لِي عَلَى الْكِبَرِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ

Praise be to Allah, who granted me Ishmael and Isaac in my old age.

إِنَّ رَبِّي لَسَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ

My Lord hears every prayer.

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ

My Lord, make me and my descendants steadfast in prayer; our Lord, accept my supplication.

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ

Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day the account is settled.

وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ

Never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do.

إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الْأَبْصَارُ

He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare in horror.

مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِي رُءُوسِهِمْ لَا يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ وَأَفْئِدَتُهُمْ هَوَاءٌ

They will be rushing forward, heads raised, unable to blink, their hearts completely void.
