(1) The rain was.

أَمْسَتِ النَّاجِحَاتُ.

(2) The successful women became (in the evening).

لَا يَنْفَكُّ الْكَلْبُ.

(3) The dog continues to be.

يُصْبِحُ الصُّنَّاعُ.

(4) The craftsmen become (in the morning).

مَا زَالَ الْجَهْلُ.

(5) Ignorance continues to exist.

لَا أُكَلِّمُكَ مَا دُمْتَ.

(6) I will not speak to you as long as you remain.

أَضْحَتِ الْمَرِيضَةُ.

(7) The female patient became (in the forenoon).

مَا بَرِحَ الْمِزَاحُ.

(8) Joking continues.

لَيْسَ الْحَسَدُ.

(9) Envy is not.

يَظَلُّ الْحِصَانَانِ.

(10) The two horses remain.

مَا فِي الصِّدْقِ.

(11) There is nothing in honesty.

صَارَ الدَّمُ.

(12) The blood became.

تَمْرِينُ (٣) ضَعْ جُمْلَةً اسْمِيَّةً لِتَكُونَ خَبَرًا لِكَانَ أَوْ إِحْدَى أَخَوَاتِهَا فِي كُلٍّ مِمَّا يَأْتِي:

Exercise (3): Place a nominal sentence to serve as the predicate for 'Kana' or one of its sisters in each of the following:

لَمْ يَكُنِ الشَّارِعُ.

(1) The street was not.

أَمْسَى الْفَلَّاحُونَ.

(2) The farmers became (in the evening).

مَا بَرِحَتِ الْمُمَرِّضَاتُ.

(3) The nurses continue.

أَصْبَحَتِ الْحَدِيقَةُ.

(4) The garden became (in the morning).

بَاتَ السَّجِينَانِ.

(5) The two prisoners spent the night.

مَا فِي الْمُخْتَرِعِ.

(6) There is nothing in the inventor.

أَضْحَى الصَّائِمُ.

(7) The fasting person became (in the forenoon).

صَارَ الْمِصْبَاحُ.

(8) The lamp became.

مَا انْفَكَّ الْحَزِينُ.

(9) The sad person continues.

ظَلَّتِ النَّافُورَةُ.

(10) The fountain remained.

مَا زَالَ الْعُلَمَاءُ.

(11) The scholars continue.

لَا يَنْبُتُ الزَّرْعُ مَا دَامَتِ الْأَرْضُ.

(12) The crops will not grow as long as the land remains.

تَمْرِينُ (٤) ضَعْ جُمْلَةً فِعْلِيَّةً لِتَكُونَ خَبَرًا لِأَنَّ أَوْ إِحْدَى أَخَوَاتِهَا فِي كُلٍّ مِمَّا يَأْتِي:
