خَبَرُ النَّوَاسِخِ حِينَ يَكُونُ جُمْلَةً أَوْ شِبْهَ جُمْلَةٍ.

The predicate of the abrogators when it is a sentence or a quasi-sentence.

كَانَ الْمَرِيضُ يَتَأَلَّمُ.

The patient was suffering.

إِنَّ الْمُجِدَّ يَنْفَعُ نَفْسَهُ.

Indeed, the diligent person benefits himself.

كَانَ الشِّتَاءُ بَرْدُهُ شَدِيدٌ.

The winter, its cold was intense.

إِنَّ الْوَلَدَ زِينَتُهُ الأَدَبُ.

Indeed, the boy, his adornment is politeness.

كَانَ الْمَاءُ فِي الْكُوبِ.

The water was in the cup.

إِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ.

Indeed, modesty is from faith.

كَانَ الْحَارِسُ خَلْفَ الْبَابِ.

The guard was behind the door.

إِنَّ الْحُكْمَ بَعْدَ التَّجْرِبَةِ.

Indeed, the judgment is after the experience.

أَصْبَحَ الطَّائِرُ يُغَنِّي.

The bird began to sing.

لَعَلَّ الْغَائِبَ يَعُودُ.

Perhaps the absent person will return.

أَصْبَحَ الْوَرْدُ رَائِحَتُهُ جَمِيلَةٌ.

The rose became beautiful in its scent.

لَعَلَّ الاِمْتِحَانَ أَسْئِلَتُهُ سَهْلَةٌ.

Perhaps the exam, its questions are easy.

أَصْبَحَ الْكَسْلانُ فِي حَيْرَةٍ.

The lazy person became in confusion.

لَعَلَّ مُحَمَّدًا فِي الْمَنْزِلِ.

Perhaps Muhammad is in the house.

أَصْبَحَ الطَّلُّ فَوْقَ الأَزْهَارِ.

The dew became above the flowers.

لَعَلَّ الْمِبْرَاةَ فَوْقَ الْكُرْسِيِّ.

Perhaps the pencil sharpener is on the chair.

عَرَفْتَ فِي دَرْسٍ قَبْلَ هَذَا أَنَّ خَبَرَ الْمُبْتَدَإِ كَمَا يَكُونُ مُفْرَدًا يَكُونُ جُمْلَةً وَشِبْهَ جُمْلَةٍ،

You knew in a lesson before this that the predicate of the subject, just as it is singular, it is a sentence and a quasi-sentence.

وَإِذَا بَحَثْتَ فِي هَذِهِ الأَمْثِلَةِ عَلَى النَّحْوِ الَّذِي رَسَمْنَاهُ فِي الدَّرْسِ.
