كَلِمَتَيْنِ فَأَكْثَرَ حَتَّى يَسْتَفِيدَ الْإِنْسَانُ فَائِدَةً تَامَّةً

Two or more words are required for a person to derive complete meaning.

وَأَمَّا نَحْوُ : قُمْ اِجْلِسْ تَكَلَّمْ

Consider examples like: Stand up, sit down, or speak.

مِمَّا ظَاهِرُهُ أَنَّهُ كَلِمَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ كَافِيَةٌ فِي التَّخَاطُبِ ، فَلَيْسَ فِي الْحَقِيقَةِ بِكَلِمَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ

While these may appear to be single words sufficient for communication, they are not actually single words at all.

وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ جُمْلَةٌ مُرَكَّبَةٌ مِنْ كَلِمَتَيْنِ

They are sentences composed of two words.

إِحْدَاهُمَا مَلْفُوظَةٌ وَهِيَ «قُمْ» مَثَلًا وَالْأُخْرَى غَيْرُ مَلْفُوظَةٍ وَهِيَ «أَنْتَ» الَّتِي يَفْهَمُهَا السَّامِعُ مِنَ الْكَلَامِ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَنْطِقْ بِهَا

One is spoken, such as 'stand up', while the other is implied—the 'you' that the listener understands from the context even though it is not explicitly uttered.

التَّرْكِيبُ الَّذِي يُفِيدُ فَائِدَةً تَامَّةً يُسَمَّى جُمْلَةً مُفِيدَةً ، وَيُسَمَّى أَيْضًا كَلَامًا

A construction that conveys a complete meaning is called a complete sentence, or speech.

الْجُمْلَةُ الْمُفِيدَةُ قَدْ تَتَرَكَّبُ مِنْ كَلِمَتَيْنِ ، وَقَدْ تَتَرَكَّبُ مِنْ أَكْثَرَ

A complete sentence may consist of two words or more.

وَكُلُّ كَلِمَةٍ فِيهَا تُعَدُّ جُزْءًا مِنْهَا

Every word within it is considered a part of the whole.

اِقْرَأِ الْأَمْثِلَةَ السَّابِقَةَ ، وَبَيِّنْ عَدَدَ الْكَلِمَاتِ فِي كُلِّ مِثَالٍ
