عِلْمُ الْمَعَانِي. وَإِمَّا بِالْعَكْسِ - نَحْوَ: الْأَمِيرُ قَرُبَ قُدُومُهُ. وَيَنْحَصِرُ عِلْمُ الْمَعَانِي فِي ثَمَانِيَةِ أَبْوَابٍ وَخَاتِمَةٍ. فَفِي الْأَوَّلِ يُؤَوَّلُ: سَمَاعُكَ بِالْمُعَيْدِيِّ خَيْرٌ، وَفِي الثَّانِي: الْأَمِيرُ قَرِيبٌ قُدُومُهُ، وَفِي نَحْوِ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَنْجُو قَائِلُهَا مِنَ النَّارِ - عَدَمُ شَرِيكٍ لِلْمَوْلَى نَجَاةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ.
