أَبْنَاءَنا وَبَنَاتِنا طُلَّابَ الصَّفِّ الثَّانِي الإِعْدَادِي...

Our sons and daughters, second-year preparatory students...

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ نَبْدَأُ، وَعَلَى طَرِيقِ الْعِلْمِ نَسِيرُ، وَفِي رِحَابِ لُغَتِنَا الْعَرَبِيَّةِ الْخَالِدَةِ تَنْهَلُّ مِنْ مَنْبَعِهَا الْعَذْبِ، وَنَسْتَنْشِقُ عَبِيرَهَا، وَنَنْعَمُ بِجَمَالِهَا.

In the name of Allah we begin, walking the path of knowledge, drawing from the sweet source of our eternal Arabic language, breathing in its fragrance, and enjoying its beauty.

يَأْتِي هَذَا الْكِتَابُ ثَمَرَةَ جُهْدٍ تَرْبَوِيٍّ وَبَحْثِيٍّ دَءُوبٍ، رُوعِيَ فِيهِ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَفِيقًا لِلطَّالِبِ فِي مَرْحَلَةٍ مِنْ أَهَمِّ مَرَاحِلِ تَكْوِينِهِ الْعَقْلِيِّ وَالْوِجْدَانِيِّ.

This book is the fruit of diligent educational and research efforts, designed to be a companion for students during one of the most important stages of their intellectual and emotional development.

لِذَلِكَ حَرَصْنَا عَلَى أَنْ يَكُونَ الْمَنْهَجُ مُتَدَرِّجَ الْبِنَاءِ، مُتَرَابِطَ الْمَوْضُوعَاتِ، يُلَبِّي احْتِيَاجَاتِ الْمُتَعَلِّمِ وَيَسْتَجِيبُ لِمُتَطَلَّبَاتِ الْعَصْرِ.

Therefore, we ensured the curriculum is structured progressively and cohesively, meeting the learner's needs while responding to the requirements of the modern era.

الْوَحْدَةُ الأُولَى: "هُوِيَّتِي فِي عَالَمٍ مُتَغَيِّرٍ".

Unit One: "My Identity in a Changing World."

تُؤَكِّدُ دُرُوسُ هَذِهِ الْوَحْدَةِ أَنَّ الْهُوِيَّةَ لَيْسَتْ مَاضِيًا فَحَسْبُ بَلْ هِيَ رُوحٌ نَحْمِلُهَا وَوَاجِبٌ نَحْمِيهِ بِالْفِكْرِ وَالْعَمَلِ.

The lessons in this unit confirm that identity is not merely a matter of the past; it is a spirit we carry and a duty we protect through thought and action.

وَقَدْ شَهِدَ التَّارِيخُ أَبْطَالًا ضَحَّوْا بِأَرْوَاحِهِمْ مِنْ أَجْلِ وَطَنِهِمْ وَحَرَصَتْ حُكُومَاتُنَا عَلَى مَرِّ الْعُصُورِ عَلَى إِقَامَةِ الْمَشَارِيعِ الْعِمْلَاقَةِ الَّتِي تُحَافِظُ عَلَى هُوِيَّتِنَا، وَتَضْمَنُ وَطَنَنَا عَزِيزًا قَوِيًّا.

History has witnessed heroes who sacrificed their lives for their homeland, and our governments have consistently sought throughout the ages to establish major projects that preserve our identity and ensure our nation remains cherished and strong.

الْوَحْدَةُ الثَّانِيَةُ: "لُغَتُنَا الْعَرَبِيَّةُ وَهُوِيَّتُنَا الْمِصْرِيَّةُ".

Unit Two: "Our Arabic Language and Our Egyptian Identity."

تُؤَكِّدُ هَذِهِ الْوَحْدَةُ أَنَّ لُغَتَنَا الْعَرَبِيَّةَ هِيَ جِسْرُ تَوَاصُلِنَا وَمِرْآةُ هُوِيَّتِنَا نَفْهَمُ بِهَا تَارِيخَ أُمَّتِنَا، وَنَبْنِي بِهَا وَعْيًا مُسْتَنِيرًا، وَهِيَ لُغَةٌ عَالَمِيَّةٌ تَتَجَاوَزُ الْحُدُودَ وَالثَّقَافَاتِ.

This unit confirms that our Arabic language is the bridge for our communication and the mirror of our identity; through it, we understand our nation's history and build an enlightened awareness, as it is a global language that transcends borders and cultures.

وَتُبَيِّنُ أَنَّ الْهُوِيَّةَ الْمِصْرِيَّةَ تَتَجَذَّرُ فِي مَوْرُوثِنَا الثَّقَافِيِّ وَقِيَمِنَا وَأَخْلَاقِنَا، وَأَنَّ الْحِفَاظَ عَلَيْهَا فَرْضٌ نُؤَدِّيهِ لِأَجْلِ وَطَنٍ يَظَلُّ نَبِيلًا فِي الْقُلُوبِ وَالْعُقُولِ.

It demonstrates that Egyptian identity is rooted in our cultural heritage, values, and morals, and that preserving it is a duty we perform for the sake of a homeland that remains noble in our hearts and minds.

الْوَحْدَةُ الثَّالِثَةُ: "حُقُوقِي وَوَاجِبَاتِي".

Unit Three: "My Rights and My Duties."

تُعَلِّمُنَا هَذِهِ الْوَحْدَةُ أَنَّ الْحَقَّ وَاجِبٌ مُتَبَادَلٌ، فَلِلْفَرْدِ كَرَامَتُهُ وَحُقُوقُهُ الَّتِي يَجِبُ صِيَانَتُهَا، وَعَلَيْهِ فِي الْمُقَابِلِ أَنْ يُؤَدِّيَ وَاجِبَاتِهِ بِإِخْلَاصٍ وَاحْتِرَامٍ.

This unit teaches us that rights and duties are reciprocal; individuals possess dignity and rights that must be maintained, and in return, they must perform their duties with sincerity and respect.

وَتُرَسِّخُ فِي نُفُوسِ الطُّلَّابِ مَبْدَأَ الْمُشَارَكَةِ الْإِيجَابِيَّةِ فِي بِنَاءِ الْوَطَنِ، وَأَنَّ تَوَازُنَ الْحُقُوقِ وَالْوَاجِبَاتِ هُوَ مَا يَصْنَعُ مُجْتَمَعًا قَوِيًّا مُتَمَاسِكًا.

It instills in students the principle of positive participation in nation-building, showing that a balance between rights and duties creates a strong, cohesive society.

كُلُّ مَوْضُوعٍ طُرِحَ فِيهِ نَمَاذِجُ وَطَنِيَّةٌ وَعَرَبِيَّةٌ تُعَزِّزُ الِانْتِمَاءَ وَالْفَخْرَ بِمِصْرِيَّتِنَا وَعُرُوبَتِنَا.

Every topic presented includes national and Arab models that strengthen our sense of belonging and pride in our Egyptian and Arab identity.

كَمَا جَاءَتِ النُّصُوصُ الشِّعْرِيَّةُ مُلَائِمَةً لِلْقِيَمِ الْمُتَضَمَّنَةِ فِي كُلِّ وَحْدَةٍ؛ لِتَسْمُوَ بِالْوِجْدَانِ، وَتُرْهِفَ الْحِسَّ عِنْدَ الطُّلَّابِ.

The poetic texts were selected to align with the values in each unit, elevating the students' emotions and refining their sensibilities.

وَأُثْرِيَ الْكِتَابُ بِأَنْشِطَةٍ وَتَقْيِيمَاتٍ مُتَنَوِّعَةٍ، وَأَسْئِلَةٍ تَقِيسُ الْفَهْمَ وَالتَّحْلِيلَ وَالتَّذَوُّقَ، صِيغَتْ بِعِنَايَةٍ لِتُخَاطِبَ أَنْمَاطًا مُتَعَدِّدَةً مِنَ الْمُتَعَلِّمِينَ، وَتُسَاعِدَهُمْ عَلَى تَرْسِيخِ الْمَهَارَاتِ اللُّغَوِيَّةِ وَالتَّعْبِيرِيَّةِ، وَتَنْمِيَةِ التَّفْكِيرِ النَّقْدِيِّ وَالْإِبْدَاعِيِّ.

The book is enriched with diverse activities, assessments, and questions that measure comprehension, analysis, and appreciation, all carefully formulated to engage different types of learners, help them solidify their linguistic and expressive skills, and develop their critical and creative thinking.

نَأْمُلُ أَنْ نَكُونَ قَدْ وُفِّقْنَا إِلَى تَقْدِيمِ عَمَلٍ يُلَائِمُ تَطَلُّعَاتِ مِصْرَ فِي بِنَاءِ جِيلٍ مُفَكِّرٍ مُبْدِعٍ، يَبْذُلُ قُصَارَى جُهْدِهِ فِي بِنَاءِ مُسْتَقْبَلٍ أَفْضَلَ لِوَطَنِهِ.

We hope we have succeeded in presenting a work that meets Egypt's aspirations to build a thoughtful, creative generation that exerts its utmost effort to build a better future for its homeland.
