أَقْرَأُ، وَأُلَاحِظُ:

I read and observe:

ثَانِيًا: جَمْعُ التَّكْسِيرِ.

Second: The broken plural.

قَرَأْتُ ثَلَاثَةَ كُتُبٍ مُفِيدَةٍ

I read three useful books.

فِي الْحَدِيقَةِ أَشْجَارٌ كَثِيرَةٌ

There are many trees in the garden.

شَاهَدْتُ صُوَرَ أَبْطَالٍ شُجْعَانٍ.

I looked at pictures of brave heroes.

جَمْعُ التَّكْسِيرِ: مَا دَلَّ عَلَى أَكْثَرَ مِنِ اثْنَيْنِ أَوِ اثْنَتَيْنِ بِتَغْيِيرِ شَكْلِ الْمُفْرَدِ (لِلْعَاقِلِ وَغَيْرِ الْعَاقِلِ).

Broken plural: A form indicating more than two items by changing the singular structure (applies to both rational and non-rational nouns).

نَشَاطٌ: أَصِلُ كُلَّ اسْمٍ بِجَمْعِهِ: شَجَرَةٌ، بَيْتٌ، وَرَقَةٌ، طَرِيقٌ.

Activity: Match each noun to its plural: tree, house, leaf, road.

نَشَاطٌ ٢: أَقْرَأُ الْكَلِمَةَ، ثُمَّ أَخْتَارُ جَمْعَ التَّكْسِيرِ الْمُنَاسِبَ لَهَا: أَوْرَاقٌ، أَنْهَارٌ، طُرُقٌ، أَشْجَارٌ، بُيُوتٌ.

Activity 2: Read the word, then choose the appropriate broken plural: leaves, rivers, roads, trees, houses.

(أ) كِتَابٌ: (كُتُبٌ - كِتَابُونَ - كِتَابَةٌ).

(A) Book: (books - kitabon - writing).

(ب) قَلَمٌ: (أَقْلَامٌ - قَلَمُونَ - قُلُومَاتٌ).

(B) Pen: (pens - qalamun - qulumat).

(جـ) جَبَلٌ: (جِبَالٌ - جُبُولٌ - جَبِيلٌ).

(C) Mountain: (mountains - jubul - jabeel).

جَمْعُ التَّكْسِيرِ يَتَغَيَّرُ فِيهِ شَكْلُ الْجَمْعِ عَنْ شَكْلِ مُفْرَدِهِ.

In a broken plural, the form changes from that of its singular.

(د) وَلَدٌ: (أَوْلَادٌ - مَوَالِدُ - وِلْدَةٌ).

(D) Boy: (boys - mawalid - wildah).

(هـ) شَارِعٌ: (مَشَارِيعُ - شَوَارِعُ - مَشَاعِرُ).

(E) Street: (mashari' - streets - masha'ir).
