بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي حِمَايَةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حِمَى التَّوْحِيدِ وَسَدِّهِ طُرُقَ الشِّرْكِ. عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: «انْطَلَقْتُ فِي وَفْدِ بَنِي عَامِرٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقُلْنَا: أَنْتَ سَيِّدُنَا، فَقَالَ: السَّيِّدُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى، قُلْنَا: وَأَفْضَلُنَا فَضْلًا، وَأَعْظَمُنَا طَوْلًا، فَقَالَ: قُولُوا بِقَوْلِكُمْ، أَوْ بَعْضِ قَوْلِكُمْ، وَلَا يَسْتَجْرِيَنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ» رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ بِسَنَدٍ جَيِّدٍ. مُنَاسَبَةُ الْبَابِ لِلتَّوْحِيدِ: لَمَّا تَكَلَّمَ الْمُؤَلِّفُ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ فِيمَا مَضَى مِنْ كِتَابِهِ عَلَى إِثْبَاتِ التَّوْحِيدِ، وَعَلَى ذِكْرِ مَا يُنَافِيهِ، أَوْ يُنَافِي كَمَالَهُ ذَكَرَ مَا يَحْمِي هَذَا التَّوْحِيدَ، وَأَنَّ الْوَاجِبَ سَدُّ طُرُقِ الشِّرْكِ. قَوْلُهُ: «انْطَلَقْتُ فِي وَفْدِ بَنِي عَامِرٍ»: الظَّاهِرُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْوَفْدَ قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْعَامِ التَّاسِعِ؛ لِأَنَّ الْوُفُودَ كَثُرَتْ فِي ذَلِكَ الْعَامِ، وَلِذَلِكَ يُسَمَّى عَامَ الْوُفُودِ. قَوْلُهُ: أَنْتَ سَيِّدُنَا: السَّيِّدُ ذُو السُّؤْدَدِ وَالشَّرَفِ، وَالسُّؤْدَدُ مَعْنَاهُ الْعَظَمَةُ وَالْفَخْرُ وَمَا أَشْبَهَهُ. وَسَيِّدٌ: صِفَةٌ مُشَبَّهَةٌ عَلَى وَزْنِ فَيْعِلٍ؛ لِأَنَّ الْيَاءَ الْأُولَى زَائِدَةٌ.

بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي حِمَايَةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حِمَى التَّوْحِيدِ وَسَدِّهِ طُرُقَ الشِّرْكِ.
Chapter: What has been narrated regarding the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) protection of the sanctuary of Tawhid and his blocking of the paths to Shirk.
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: «انْطَلَقْتُ فِي وَفْدِ بَنِي عَامِرٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقُلْنَا: أَنْتَ سَيِّدُنَا، فَقَالَ: السَّيِّدُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى، قُلْنَا: وَأَفْضَلُنَا فَضْلًا، وَأَعْظَمُنَا طَوْلًا، فَقَالَ: قُولُوا بِقَوْلِكُمْ، أَوْ بَعْضِ قَوْلِكُمْ، وَلَا يَسْتَجْرِيَنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ» رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ بِسَنَدٍ جَيِّدٍ.
On the authority of Abdullah ibn al-Shikhkhir (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: 'I went with the delegation of Banu Amir to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and we said: "You are our master." He replied: "The Master is Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He." We said: "And you are the most excellent of us in virtue, and the greatest of us in bounty." He said: "Say what you have to say, or part of what you have to say, and do not let the devil entice you." Narrated by Abu Dawud with a good chain of narration.'
مُنَاسَبَةُ الْبَابِ لِلتَّوْحِيدِ: لَمَّا تَكَلَّمَ الْمُؤَلِّفُ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ فِيمَا مَضَى مِنْ كِتَابِهِ عَلَى إِثْبَاتِ التَّوْحِيدِ، وَعَلَى ذِكْرِ مَا يُنَافِيهِ، أَوْ يُنَافِي كَمَالَهُ ذَكَرَ مَا يَحْمِي هَذَا التَّوْحِيدَ، وَأَنَّ الْوَاجِبَ سَدُّ طُرُقِ الشِّرْكِ.
