يَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَتَّبِعَ الْعَقْلَ الصَّرِيحَ السَّالِمَ مِنَ الشُّبُهَاتِ وَالشَّهَوَاتِ. وَلِهَذَا نَعَى اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوا مَا أَلِفُوا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَهُمْ بِأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ، وَكَلَامُ الْمُؤَلِّفِ حَقٌّ فَإِنَّ مَنْ تَأَمَّلَ مَا عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ الْيَوْمَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنَ الْبُلْدَانِ الْإِسْلَامِيَّةِ تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ تَرْكُ التَّوْحِيدِ وَغُرْبَةُ الدِّينِ.

يَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَتَّبِعَ الْعَقْلَ الصَّرِيحَ السَّالِمَ مِنَ الشُّبُهَاتِ وَالشَّهَوَاتِ.
He must follow sound reason, free from the influence of doubt and base desire.
وَلِهَذَا نَعَى اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوا مَا أَلِفُوا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَهُمْ بِأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ،
This is why God denounced the disbelievers who blindly followed the ways of their forefathers, pointing out that they lacked true understanding.
وَكَلَامُ الْمُؤَلِّفِ حَقٌّ فَإِنَّ مَنْ تَأَمَّلَ مَا عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ الْيَوْمَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنَ الْبُلْدَانِ الْإِسْلَامِيَّةِ تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ تَرْكُ التَّوْحِيدِ وَغُرْبَةُ الدِّينِ.
The author is correct; anyone who observes the state of many Muslim countries today will see that monotheism has been abandoned and the faith has become a stranger.
