أَنْهَى الْمَسْعُودِيُّ كِتَابَهُ الضَّخْمَ «مُرُوجَ الذَّهَبِ وَمَعَادِنَ الْجَوْهَرِ» (٩٤٦م)، وَآخِرَ مُؤَلَّفَاتِهِ «كِتَابُ التَّنْبِيهِ وَالْإِشْرَافِ» (٩٥٦م) ثُمَّ تُوُفِّيَ بَعْدَ أَشْهُرٍ قَلِيلَةٍ مُخَلِّفًا مَا لَا يَقِلُّ عَنْ ٣٠ كِتَابًا فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنْ عُلُومِ عَصْرِهِ، وَلِلْأَسَفِ، فَقَدْ ضَاعَ أَكْثَرُ مُؤَلَّفَاتِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ، وَلَمْ يَصِلْ إِلَيْنَا مِنْهَا إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ، كَمَا ذَكَرْنَا فِي الصَّفَحَاتِ السَّابِقَةِ.

أَنْهَى الْمَسْعُودِيُّ كِتَابَهُ الضَّخْمَ «مُرُوجَ الذَّهَبِ وَمَعَادِنَ الْجَوْهَرِ» (٩٤٦م).
Al-Masudi completed his monumental work, Meadows of Gold and Mines of Gems, in 946 AD.
وَآخِرُ مُؤَلَّفَاتِهِ «كِتَابُ التَّنْبِيهِ وَالْإِشْرَافِ» (٩٥٦م).
His final composition was The Book of Admonition and Revision (956 AD).
ثُمَّ تُوُفِّيَ بَعْدَ أَشْهُرٍ قَلِيلَةٍ مُخَلِّفًا مَا لَا يَقِلُّ عَنْ ٣٠ كِتَابًا فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنْ عُلُومِ عَصْرِهِ.
He passed away a few months later, leaving behind at least 30 books covering many of the sciences of his time.
