عَلَمُ بِلَادِي نَصٌّ أَدَبِيٌّ.

My country's flag is a literary text.

الدَّرْسُ الثَّانِي.

The second lesson.

مَدْخَلٌ إِلَى النَّصِّ: دِمَشْقُ.

الْعَلَمُ رَمْزُ السِّيَادَةِ الْوَطَنِيَّةِ، نَقِفُ أَمَامَهُ مُتَأَمِّلِينَ شُمُوخَهُ وَخَفَقَانَهُ، مُؤْمِنِينَ بِغَدٍ كَرِيمٍ يَصْنَعُهُ أَبْنَاءُ الْوَطَنِ الْأَوْفِيَاءُ.

The flag is a symbol of national sovereignty. We stand before it, reflecting on its grandeur and the way it ripples, believing in a bright future built by the nation's loyal children.

وُلِدَ فِي مُحَافَظَةِ اللَّاذِقِيَّةِ عَامَ (١٩٠٨م) وَتُوُفِّيَ عَامَ (١٩٩٤م)، وَمِنْ أَشْهَرِ دَوَاوِينِهِ «آلَامٌ» بِثَلَاثَةِ أَجْزَاءٍ.

He was born in the Latakia Governorate in 1908 and died in 1994. Among his most famous works is the three-volume poetry collection, 'Pains'.
