خَطُّ الثُّلُثِ. نَوْعٌ مِنَ الْخُطُوطِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ، ظَهَرَ لِأَوَّلِ مَرَّةٍ فِي الْقَرْنِ الرَّابِعِ الْهِجْرِيِّ. وَهُوَ مِنْ أَشْهَرِ أَنْوَاعِ الْخُطُوطِ الْمُتَأَصِّلَةِ مِنَ الْخَطِّ النَّسْخِيِّ، سُمِّيَ بِهَذَا الِاسْمِ لِأَنَّهُ يُكْتَبُ بِقَلَمٍ يُقَطُّ (يُبْرَى) مُحَرَّفًا بِسُمْكِ ثُلُثِ قُطْرِ الْقَلَمِ، وَهُوَ مِنْ أَصْعَبِ الْخُطُوطِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ مِنْ حَيْثُ الْقَوَاعِدِ وَالْمَوَازِينِ، وَيَمْتَازُ بِالْمُرُونَةِ وَمَتَانَةِ التَّرْكِيبِ وَبَرَاعَةِ التَّأْلِيفِ.
