مِنْ حَقّي أَنْ أَتَعَلَّمَ.

I have the right to learn.

مِنْ حَقّي عِلْمٌ يَنْفَعُني، لِدُرُوبِ الْعِزَّةِ يَدْفَعُني.

I have the right to knowledge that benefits me and propels me toward paths of pride.

مِنْ حَقّي حُلْمٌ أَرْسُمُهُ كَيْ أَزْهُوَ بِاسْمِكَ يَا وَطَني.

I have the right to a dream I envision, that I may take pride in your name, my homeland.

سَأَكُونُ نَشِيطاً فِي صَفّي، فِكْرٌ بِالْعِلْمِ أُنَمِّيهِ، سَاعِدْني فِي أَبْقَى الْأَوَّلِ، كَيْ قِيَمٌ عِلْمٌ فَنٌّ خُلُقٌ.

I will be active in class, developing my mind with knowledge; help me stay at the top, so that values, science, art, and morals may flourish.

يَحْلُو رَسْمي صَوْتي عَزْفي، عَمَلٌ لِلْقِمَّةِ يَرْفَعُني، وَأُحَقِّقَ حُلْمَ الْمُسْتَقْبَلِ، مِنْ خَيْرِ عَطَائِكَ يَا وَطَني.

My drawing, my voice, and my music grow sweet; hard work lifts me to the summit, and I will realize the dream of the future through your generous gifts, my homeland.

كَلِمَاتِي الْجَدِيدَةُ: أَزْهُو بِمَعْنَى أَتَبَاهَى وَأَفْتَخِرُ.

My new words: Azhu means to boast and take pride.

أُنَمِّيهِ: بِمَعْنَى أَزِيدُهُ.

Unammihi means I increase it.

وَاجِبِي: مَا يَتَحَتَّمُ عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَفْعَلَهُ.

Wajibi (my duty): what I am obligated to do.

١. أَقْرَأُ النَّصَّ قِرَاءَةً صَحِيحَةً، مُرَاعِياً الضَّبْطَ الصَّحِيحَ.

1. I will read the text accurately, observing proper vocalization.

٢. أَقْرَأُ الْمَقْطَعَ الْأَوَّلَ مُنْتَبِهاً إِلَى لَفْظِ حَرْفِ الْيَاءِ (ي).

2. I will read the first passage, paying attention to the pronunciation of the letter Ya (ي).

٣. أُنْشِدُ الْبَيْتَ الْآتِيَ مُنْتَبِهاً إِلَى تَنْوِينِ الضَّمِّ: قِيَمٌ عِلْمٌ فَنٌّ خُلُقٌ، مِنْ خَيْرِ عَطَائِكَ يَا وَطَني.

3. I will recite the following verse, paying attention to the Tanwin al-Damm: Values, science, art, morals, from the goodness of your gifts, my homeland.
