فَلَا يَجُوزُ لِلْإِنْسَانِ أَنْ يَصْمُتَ وَلَا يَتَكَلَّمَ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ، وَإِذَا قُدِّرَ أَنَّ أَحَدًا نَذَرَ هَذَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَفِي نَذْرِهِ، فَلْيَحِلَّ النَّذْرَ وَيُكَفِّرُ كَفَّارَةَ يَمِينٍ، وَإِذَا تَكَلَّمَ الْإِنْسَانُ فَلَا يَتَكَلَّمُ إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ؛ لِقَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ».

A person may not vow to remain silent until nightfall. Should someone make such a vow, they must not fulfill it; instead, they should break the vow and offer the expiation required for an oath. When a person speaks, they should say only what is good, following the Prophet's instruction: 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.'

وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.

Allah is the source of all success.

أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ كِتَابُ الرِّقَاقِ، بَابُ حِفْظِ اللِّسَانِ، وَقَوْلُ النَّبِيِّ، رَقْمُ (٦٤٧٥)، وَمُسْلِمٌ: كِتَابُ الْإِيمَانِ، بَابُ الْحَثِّ عَلَى إِكْرَامِ الْجَارِ وَالضَّيْفِ وَلُزُومِ الصَّمْتِ، رَقْمُ (٤٧)، مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ.
