شَرْحُ رِيَاضِ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ كَلَامِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَالشَّاهِدُ مِنْ هَذَا: أَنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَقْتَصِرَ عَلَى لُبْسِ الْإِزَارِ، أَمَّا الْمَرْأَةُ فَلَا يُمْكِنُ أَنْ تَقْتَصِرَ عَلَى لُبْسِ الْإِزَارِ، وَلَيْسَ هَذَا مِنْ عَادَةِ نِسَاءِ الصَّحَابَةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ. وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.

شَرْحُ رِيَاضِ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ كَلَامِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
A Commentary on Riyadh al-Salihin, drawing from the words of the Master of the Messengers, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
فَالشَّاهِدُ مِنْ هَذَا: أَنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَقْتَصِرَ عَلَى لُبْسِ الْإِزَارِ، أَمَّا الْمَرْأَةُ فَلَا يُمْكِنُ أَنْ تَقْتَصِرَ عَلَى لُبْسِ الْإِزَارِ، وَلَيْسَ هَذَا مِنْ عَادَةِ نِسَاءِ الصَّحَابَةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ.
The point here is that there is no harm in a man wearing only an izar. A woman, however, cannot limit herself to just an izar, as this was not the practice among the women of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them.
وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.
Allah is the Grantor of success.
