بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ قِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ وَهُوَ التَّرَاوِيحُ. ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً؛ لأَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا سُئِلَتْ كَيْفَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي رَمَضَانَ؟ فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ لا يَزِيدُ فِي رَمَضَانَ، وَلا غَيْرِهِ عَلَى إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً. فَأَمَّا مَعَ عَدَمِ الْخِلافِ فَإِنَّهُ يُصَلِّي ثَلاثًا وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ أَكْثَرَ، مَا دَامَ النَّاسُ لَمْ يَقُولُوا: خَفِّفْ، فَإِذَا قَالُوا: خَفِّفْ فَلا يَزِيدُ عَلَى إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ، أَوْ ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً. وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.

ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً؛ لأَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا سُئِلَتْ كَيْفَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي رَمَضَانَ؟
Thirteen rak'ahs, based on the time Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked how the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed during Ramadan.
فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ لا يَزِيدُ فِي رَمَضَانَ، وَلا غَيْرِهِ عَلَى إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً.
She replied that he never exceeded eleven rak'ahs, whether in Ramadan or at other times.
