بَابُ سُنَّةِ الظُّهْرِ.

Chapter on the Dhuhr Sunnah prayers.

وَفِي هَذِهِ الْأَحَادِيثِ: دَلِيلٌ عَلَى أَنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ يَنْبَغِي لَهُ أَنْ يُحَافِظَ عَلَى الرَّوَاتِبِ، لِقَوْلِ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَا يَدَعُ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ» يَعْنِي لَا يَتْرُكُهَا.

These hadiths demonstrate that one should be consistent with the regular Sunnah prayers. Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said, 'The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, never missed the four rak'ahs before Dhuhr,' meaning he never omitted them.

إِلَّا أَنَّهُ فِي السَّفَرِ لَا يُصَلِّي سُنَّةَ الظُّهْرِ لَا الْأُولَى، وَلَا الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا؛ لِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمْ يَكُنْ يُصَلِّي رَاتِبَةَ الظُّهْرِ إِذَا كَانَ مُسَافِرًا.

However, while traveling, one does not pray the Dhuhr Sunnah, neither the prayer before it nor the one after, as the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did not perform the regular Dhuhr Sunnah while on a journey.
