شَرْحُ رِيَاضِ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ كَلَامِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا حَالَ كَوْنِكُمْ يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ، وَفِي هَذَا دَلِيلٌ عَلَى أَنَّ قِتَالَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضًا كُفْرٌ، وَقَدْ أَيَّدَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ قَوْلُهُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ: «سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ» لَكِنَّهُ كُفْرٌ لَا يُخْرِجُ مِنَ الْمِلَّةِ، وَالدَّلِيلُ عَلَى أَنَّهُ لَا يُخْرِجُ مِنَ الْمِلَّةِ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ﴿وَإِن طَائِفَتَانِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ اقْتَتَلُوا فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَهُمَا﴾ إِلَى أَنْ قَالَ: ﴿إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ﴾ [الْحُجُرَاتِ: ٩ - ١٠] وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ. (١) أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ: كِتَابُ الْإِيمَانِ، بَابُ خَوْفِ الْمُؤْمِنِ مِنْ أَنْ يَحْبِطَ عَمَلُهُ وَهُوَ لَا يَشْعُرُ، رَقْمُ (٤٨)، وَمُسْلِمٌ كِتَابُ الْإِيمَانِ، بَابُ بَيَانِ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ «سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ»، رَقْمُ (٦٤)، مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ.

Commentary on Riyadh as-Salihin, drawn from the words of the Master of the Messengers, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
يَعْنِي لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا حَالَ كَوْنِكُمْ يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ، وَفِي هَذَا دَلِيلٌ عَلَى أَنَّ قِتَالَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضًا كُفْرٌ، وَقَدْ أَيَّدَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ قَوْلُهُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ: «سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ» لَكِنَّهُ كُفْرٌ لَا يُخْرِجُ مِنَ الْمِلَّةِ، وَالدَّلِيلُ عَلَى أَنَّهُ لَا يُخْرِجُ مِنَ الْمِلَّةِ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ﴿وَإِن طَائِفَتَانِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ اقْتَتَلُوا فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَهُمَا﴾ إِلَى أَنْ قَالَ: ﴿إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ﴾ [الْحُجُرَاتِ: ٩ - ١٠] وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ. This means: do not revert to disbelief after I am gone by killing one another. This indicates that fighting between believers constitutes an act of disbelief. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, reinforced this with his statement: "Insulting a Muslim is wickedness, and fighting him is disbelief." However, this is a form of disbelief that does not cast one out of the faith. The proof that it does not remove one from the fold of Islam is the Almighty's command: "If two factions among the believers fight each other, then reconcile them," ending with: "The believers are but brothers, so reconcile your brothers" [Al-Hujurat: 9-10]. Allah is the source of all success.
