بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ تَحْسِينِ الصَّوْتِ بِالْقُرْآنِ وَطَلَبِ الْقِرَاءَةِ مِنْ حَسَنِ الصَّوْتِ وَالِاسْتِمَاعِ لَهَا. فَإِذَا كَانَ الْإِنْسَانُ يَتَحَدَّثُ، أَوْ فِي شُغْلٍ عَنِ الْقُرْآنِ؛ فَلَا تَفْتَحْهُ؛ لِأَنَّ الْقُرْآنَ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَحَدَّثَ النَّاسُ وَيَهْجُرُوهُ، فَإِمَّا أَنْ تَتَكَلَّمَ مَعَ النَّاسِ، أَوْ تَسْتَمِعَ إِلَى الْقُرْآنِ، أَوْ تُعْلِقَ الْمِذْيَاعَ، فَالْأَمْرُ وَاسِعٌ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ.

بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ تَحْسِينِ الصَّوْتِ بِالْقُرْآنِ وَطَلَبِ الْقِرَاءَةِ مِنْ حَسَنِ الصَّوْتِ وَالِاسْتِمَاعِ لَهَا.
Chapter: The merit of reciting the Quran with a beautiful voice, requesting such a recitation, and listening to it.
فَإِذَا كَانَ الْإِنْسَانُ يَتَحَدَّثُ، أَوْ فِي شُغْلٍ عَنِ الْقُرْآنِ؛ فَلَا تَفْتَحْهُ؛ لِأَنَّ الْقُرْآنَ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَحَدَّثَ النَّاسُ وَيَهْجُرُوهُ،
Do not turn on the Quran if people are talking or otherwise occupied, as it is too sacred to be treated as background noise while people ignore it.
فَإِمَّا أَنْ تَتَكَلَّمَ مَعَ النَّاسِ، أَوْ تَسْتَمِعَ إِلَى الْقُرْآنِ، أَوْ تُعْلِقَ الْمِذْيَاعَ، فَالْأَمْرُ وَاسِعٌ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ.
You should either converse with others, listen to the Quran, or turn off the radio. There is flexibility in this matter, praise be to Allah.
