بَابُ جَوَازِ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ لِمَنْ بِهِ حِكَّةٌ. وَهُوَ جَدِيدٌ فَاحْمَدِ اللَّهَ وَقُلْ: «اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيهِ، أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهُ وَخَيْرَ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ». فَرُبَّمَا يَكُونُ هَذَا سَبَبَ شَرٍّ عَلَيْكَ، رُبَّمَا تَأْكُلُ النَّارُ طَرَفَهُ، ثُمَّ تَتَّقِدُ حَتَّى تَقْضِيَ عَلَى هَذَا اللِّبَاسِ، وَتَقْضِيَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ أَيْضًا، رُبَّمَا يَكُونُ فِيهِ أَشْيَاءُ سَامَّةٌ لَا تَعْلَمُ عَنْهَا شَيْئًا، وَقَدْ يَحْمِلُ صَاحِبَهُ عَلَى الْكِبْرِ وَالتَّرَفُّعِ عَلَى النَّاسِ، أَوْ قَدْ يَكُونُ سَبَبًا لِلْفِتْنَةِ وَهِيَ مِنْ أَعْظَمِ الشَّرِّ وَالْفَسَادِ، كَتِلْكَ الْأَلْبِسَةِ الَّتِي تَتَفَنَّنُ النِّسَاءُ فِي صُنْعِهَا مُضَاهَاةً لِغَيْرِهِنَّ مِنْ نِسَاءِ الْغَرْبِ الْكَافِرَاتِ. فَالْمُهِمُّ أَنْتَ تَقُولُ: «اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ يُصْنَعُ وَيَكُونُ سَبَبًا لِلْشَّرِّ»، فَهَذِهِ أَرْبَعُ جُمَلٍ: اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيهِ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِهِ وَخَيْرِ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ، وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.

(from previous page) ⟵ O Allah, to You be all praise. You have clothed me with this shirt, You have clothed me with these trousers, You have clothed me with this ghutra, You have clothed me with this cap, You have clothed me with this bisht, You have clothed me with this undershirt, whatever.
وَهُوَ جَدِيدٌ فَاحْمَدِ اللَّهَ وَقُلْ: «اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيهِ، أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهُ وَخَيْرَ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ».
When wearing something new, praise Allah and say: 'O Allah, all praise is Yours for clothing me in this. I ask You for its good and the good for which it was made, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil for which it was made.'
فَرُبَّمَا يَكُونُ هَذَا سَبَبَ شَرٍّ عَلَيْكَ، رُبَّمَا تَأْكُلُ النَّارُ طَرَفَهُ، ثُمَّ تَتَّقِدُ حَتَّى تَقْضِيَ عَلَى هَذَا اللِّبَاسِ، وَتَقْضِيَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ أَيْضًا،
