شَرْحُ رِيَاضِ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ كَلَامِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. قَالَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ: وَأَنْوَاعُ الْأَذَى كَثِيرَةٌ، مِنْهَا أَنْ يُؤْذِيَ جَارَهُ، وَمِنْهَا أَنْ يُؤْذِيَ صَاحِبَهُ، وَمِنْهَا أَنْ يُؤْذِيَ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ فِي عَمَلٍ مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ - وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَهُمْ صَدَاقَةٌ - بِالْمُضَايَقَةِ وَمَا أَشْبَهَ ذَلِكَ، وَكُلُّ هَذَا حَرَامٌ، وَالْوَاجِبُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ الْحَذَرُ مِنْهُ.

A commentary on Riyadh as-Salihin, drawn from the words of the Master of the Messengers, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
قَالَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ: وَأَنْوَاعُ الْأَذَى كَثِيرَةٌ، مِنْهَا أَنْ يُؤْذِيَ جَارَهُ، وَمِنْهَا أَنْ يُؤْذِيَ صَاحِبَهُ، وَمِنْهَا أَنْ يُؤْذِيَ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ فِي عَمَلٍ مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ - وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَهُمْ صَدَاقَةٌ - بِالْمُضَايَقَةِ وَمَا أَشْبَهَ ذَلِكَ، وَكُلُّ هَذَا حَرَامٌ، وَالْوَاجِبُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ الْحَذَرُ مِنْهُ.
Scholars note that there are many forms of harm. These include mistreating a neighbor, a companion, or a colleague—even in the absence of any personal friendship—through harassment or similar behavior. All such actions are forbidden, and every Muslim must be wary of them.
