شَرْحُ رِيَاضِ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ كَلَامِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. الْحَائِضُ لَا تَصُومُ وَلَا تَقْضِي الصَّلَاةَ، فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ يُصِيبُنَا ذَلِكَ فَنُؤْمَرُ بِقَضَاءِ الصَّوْمِ وَلَا نُؤْمَرُ بِقَضَاءِ الصَّلَاةِ، كَأَنَّهَا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا تَقُولُ: إِنَّ وَظِيفَةَ الْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ يَعْمَلَ بِالشَّرْعِ، سَوَاءٌ عَرَفَ الْحِكْمَةَ أَمْ لَمْ يَعْرِفْهَا، وَهَذَا هُوَ الصَّوَابُ. نَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَرْزُقَنَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ اتِّبَاعَ سُنَّةِ النَّبِيِّ، وَأَنْ يَتَوَفَّانَا عَلَيْهَا، وَأَنْ يَحْشُرَنَا فِي زُمْرَتِهِ، إِنَّهُ جَوَادٌ كَرِيمٌ.

A menstruating woman does not fast, nor does she make up for missed prayers.
فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ يُصِيبُنَا ذَلِكَ فَنُؤْمَرُ بِقَضَاءِ الصَّوْمِ وَلَا نُؤْمَرُ بِقَضَاءِ الصَّلَاةِ،
She said, 'This would happen to us, and we were commanded to make up the fasts but not the prayers.'
