الرَّسُولُ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قُدْوَتِي فِي تَوْقِيرِ الْكَبِيرِ. قَالَ فَوَّاةٌ: بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ فِي السَّيَّارَةِ رَأَيْنَا النَّاسَ يَعْبُرُونَ الشَّارِعَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مُسِنًّا لَمْ يَسْتَطِعِ الْعُبُورَ. أَوْقَفَ وَالِدِي سَيَّارَتَهُ، وَاقْتَرَبَ مِنْهُ. أَلْقَى عَلَيْهِ التَّحِيَّةَ، ثُمَّ أَمْسَكَ بِيَدِهِ وَسَاعَدَهُ فِي الْعُبُورِ، وَقَبْلَ أَنْ يَعُودَ وَالِدِي رَأَيْتُ الرَّجُلَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ وَيَدْعُو لَهُ.

The Messenger—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—is my role model in respecting the elderly.
قَالَ فَوَّاةٌ: بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ فِي السَّيَّارَةِ رَأَيْنَا النَّاسَ يَعْبُرُونَ الشَّارِعَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مُسِنًّا لَمْ يَسْتَطِعِ الْعُبُورَ.
Fawwah said, "While we were in the car, we saw people crossing the street, except for an elderly man who was unable to make it across."
أَوْقَفَ وَالِدِي سَيَّارَتَهُ، وَاقْتَرَبَ مِنْهُ.
My father stopped the car and walked over to him.
