مَواقِفُ وَطَرائِفٌ. بَيْنَ يَدَيِ النَّصِّ: الطَّرْفَةُ: الحَديثُ المُسْتَحْسَنُ النَّادِرُ، وَغالِباً ما تَأْتِي الطَّرْفَةُ سَهْلَةً وَمُضْحِكَةً، وَتَصِفُ مَوْقِفاً قَصِيراً بِأُسْلُوبٍ دُعابِيٍّ مَرِحٍ وَمُسَلٍّ، وَلَكِنَّها مُحَمَّلَةٌ بِالدُّرُوسِ وَالعِبَرِ، وَتَبْعَثُ فِي النَّفْسِ مَعانِيَ مِنَ الأَخْلاقِ وَالتَّرْبِيَةِ، إِلى جانِبِ ما تَحْوِيهِ مِنْ مُتْعَةٍ وَتَسْلِيَةٍ.
