اخْتَارَ الرَّجُلُ، وَلَمْ يَعْرِفْ مَاذَا يَفْعَلُ، ثُمَّ اسْتَلْقَى عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَرَكَةٍ، وَكَتَمَ أَنْفَاسَهُ.

The man made his choice, though he did not know what to do; he lay motionless on the ground and held his breath.

وَصَلَ إِلَيْهِ الدُّبُّ، وَأَخَذَ يَشُمُّهُ، وَظَنَّهُ مَيِّتاً، ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُ، وَعَادَ إِلَى الْغَابَةِ.
