وَجَدَتْ رَجُلًا نَائِمًا تَحْتَ ظِلِّ شَجَرَةٍ، أَسْرَعَتْ إِلَيْهِ، وَأَخَذَتْ تَقْفِزُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، فَنَهَضَ الرَّجُلُ غَاضِبًا، وَظَلَّ يُطَارِدُهَا حَتَّى وَصَلَتْ بِهِ إِلَى جُحْرِهَا.

She found a man sleeping in the shade of a tree, hurried over to him, and began jumping on his face. The man woke up angry and chased her until she led him to her burrow.

انْدَهَشَ الرَّجُلُ عِنْدَمَا رَأَى الثُّعْبَانَ، فَنَسِيَ الْفَأْرَةَ، وَتَنَاوَلَ عَصَاهُ، وَضَرَبَ الثُّعْبَانَ، فَقَتَلَهُ.

The man was startled when he saw the snake; forgetting the mouse, he grabbed his stick, struck the snake, and killed it.
