ལྡས نقرأ: الْقِراءَةُ الْفَارَةُ وَالتَّعْبانُ دَخَلَ ثُعْبانٌ جُحْرَ فَأَرَةٍ، وَرَفَضَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مِنْهُ، فَكَرَتِ الْفَارَةُ فِي حِيلَةٍ لإِخْراجِ التَّعْبانِ مِنْ بَيْتِها، نَظَرَتْ حَوْلَهَا، فَوَجَدَتْ رَجُلاً نائِماً تَحْتَ ظِلِّ شَجَرَةٍ، أَسْرَعَتْ إِلَيْهِ، وَأَخَذَتْ تَقْفِرُ عَلى وَجْهِهِ، فَنَهَضَ الرَّجُلُ عَاضِباً، وَظَلَّ يُطارِدُها حَتَّى وَصَلَتْ بِهِ إِلى جُحْرِها .

We read: The Reading. The Mouse and the Snake. A snake entered a mouse's hole and refused to leave it, so the mouse thought of a trick to get the snake out of her house. She looked around and found a man sleeping under the shade of a tree. She rushed to him and began jumping on his face, so the man rose angrily and kept chasing her until she led him to her hole.

انْدَهَشَ الرَّجُلُ عِنْدَما رَأَى التَّعْبانَ، فَنَسِيَ الْفَأَرَةَ، وَتَناوَلَ عَصاهُ، وَضَرَبَ التَّعْبانَ، فَقَتَلَهُ .

The man was astonished when he saw the snake, so he forgot the mouse, took his stick, struck the snake, and killed it.

سُرَّتِ الْفَارَةُ لِخَلاصِها مِنَ التَّعْبانِ، وَدَخَلَتْ بَيْتَها سَعِيدَةً مُطْمَئِيَّةٌ . ۲۸
