تَكُنْ طِلَسْماً ، وَلَمْ تَكُنْ شَبَحاً مُخِيفاً ، بَلْ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ ، مِنَ الشَّرِيفِ ، مَهْدِ عِزِّهِمْ ، وَمَصْدَرِ فَخْرِهِمْ ، وَمَجْدِ وَطَنِهِمْ

It was neither a cryptic talisman nor a frightening specter, but clear signs from the noble source—the cradle of their glory, the wellspring of their pride, and the majesty of their homeland.

وَقَدْ نَحَوْنَا فِي هَذَا الْكِتَابِ طَرِيقَةَ الِاسْتِنْبَاطِ الَّتِي هِيَ أَكْثَرُ طُرُقِ التَّعْلِيمِ قُرْباً إِلَى عُقُولِ الْأَطْفَالِ ، وَأَثْبَتُهَا أَثَراً فِي نُفُوسِهِمْ ، وَأَقْرَبُهَا إِلَى الْمَنْطِقِ ، لِأَنَّهَا خَيْرُ دَافِعٍ إِلَى التَّفْكِيرِ وَالْبَحْثِ ، وَتَعَرُّفِ وُجُوهِ الْمُشَابَهَةِ وَالْمُخَالَفَةِ بَيْنَ الْأَشْبَاهِ وَالْأَضْدَادِ

In this book, we have adopted the deductive method. It is the approach most accessible to children's minds, the most effective in shaping their character, and the most logical. It serves as the best catalyst for inquiry and thought, helping them discern the similarities and differences between like things and opposites.

فَقَدْ أَكْثَرْنَا مِنَ الْأَمْثِلَةِ الَّتِي تُسْتَنْبَطُ مِنْهَا الْقَوَاعِدُ ، عَلَى طِرَازٍ حَدِيثٍ لَمْ يَسْبِقْ لَهُ مِثَالٌ ، فَاخْتَرْنَاهَا سَهْلَةً مَفْهُومَةً ، مَقْصُورَةً فِي الْغَالِبِ الْكَثِيرِ عَلَى مَا يُرَادُ مِنْهَا

We have provided an abundance of examples from which rules can be deduced, using a modern, unprecedented style. We selected them to be simple and clear, focusing primarily on the specific point at hand.

ضَارِبَةً فِي جِهَاتٍ شَتَّى مِنْ نَوَاحِي الْحَيَاةِ الطِّفْلِيَّةِ ، مُنَاسِبَةً لِبِيئَةِ النَّشْءِ الصِّغَارِ وَغَرَائِزِهِمْ ، شَائِقَةً جَذَّابَةً لِنُفُوسِهِمْ

These examples span various aspects of a child’s life, fitting the environment and instincts of young learners while remaining engaging and appealing to them.

ثُمَّ بَيَّنَّا فِي بَسْطٍ وَأَنَاةٍ سَبِيلَ الِاسْتِنْبَاطِ مِنَ الْأَمْثِلَةِ ، سَالِكِينَ سَنَناً مَنْطِقِيّاً جَلِيَّ الْعِبَارَةِ ، خَالِياً مِنَ الِاصْطِلَاحِ الْعِلْمِيِّ ، آخِذاً بِأَيْدِي الْأَطْفَالِ مِنْ دِرَاسَةِ كُلِّ مِثَالٍ إِلَى النَّتِيجَةِ الْوَاضِحَةِ وَالْقَاعِدَةِ الْعَامَّةِ

We then explained the process of deduction from these examples with patience and simplicity. By following a logical, clear path free of dense technical jargon, we guide children from the study of each example to the clear conclusion and the general rule.

وَقَدْ وَضَعْنَا الْقَوَاعِدَ وَالتَّعَارِيفَ الْمُسْتَنْبَطَةَ فِي عِبَارَةٍ لَا تَمْتَنِعُ عَنِ الْأَفْهَامِ الصَّغِيرَةِ وَالْعُقُولِ النَّاشِئَةِ

The rules and definitions we derived are phrased in language that is easily grasped by young minds and developing intellects.

أَمَّا التَّمْرِينَاتُ فَقَدْ بَذَلْنَا جُهْدَ الطَّاقَةِ فِي أَنْ تَكُونَ كَثِيرَةَ الْأَنْوَاعِ ، سَهْلَةَ الْمَعَانِي ، مُنَاسِبَةً لِمَدَارِكِ الْأَطْفَالِ ، دَافِعَةً لَهُمْ إِلَى تَكْوِينِ وَتَأْلِيفِ الْجُمَلِ مُكَوِّنَةً لِلذَّوْقِ الْعَرَبِيِّ السَّلِيمِ ، مُرَبِّيَةً لِقُوَّةِ الْإِنْشَاءِ وَالتَّعْبِيرِ الصَّحِيحِ

For the exercises, we have spared no effort to ensure they are varied, simple, and tailored to a child's level of comprehension. They are designed to encourage sentence construction, cultivate a refined Arabic sensibility, and foster the ability to write and express oneself correctly.

هَذَا إِلَى أَنَّنَا وَضَعْنَا بَيْنَ هَذِهِ التَّمْرِينَاتِ ، تَمْرِينَاتٍ فِي الْإِنْشَاءِ ، تَرْتَبِطُ بِالْقَوَاعِدِ الَّتِي أَلَمَّ التَّلَامِيذُ بِهَا ، حَتَّى يَظْهَرَ لَهُمْ مَا لِهَذِهِ الدِّرَاسَةِ مِنَ الْأَثَرِ الْبَيِّنِ فِي سَدَادِ الْقَوْلِ وَحُسْنِ الْبَيَانِ ، فَإِنَّنَا نَعْتَدُ أَنَّ الْقَوَاعِدَ الْعَرَبِيَّةَ يَجِبُ أَنْ يَمْتَزِجَ تَعْلِيمُهَا
