الدَّرْسُ الأَوَّلُ: الإِعْرَابُ وَالبِنَاءُ. الاِسْمُ إِمَّا مُعْرَبٌ وَإِمَّا مَبْنِيٌّ. (أ) فِي الأَسْمَاءِ: فَالمُعْرَبُ مَا تَغَيَّرَ آخِرُهُ بِسَبَبِ العَامِلِ، نَحْوَ: جَاءَ المُدَرِّسُ (مَرْفُوعٌ)، سَأَلْتُ المُدَرِّسَ (مَنْصُوبٌ)، سَلَّمْتُ عَلَى المُدَرِّسِ (مَجْرُورٌ). وَالمَبْنِيُّ مَا لَا يَتَغَيَّرُ آخِرُهُ بِسَبَبِ العَامِلِ، نَحْوَ: جَاءَ هَؤُلَاءِ (فِي مَحَلِّ رَفْعٍ)، سَأَلْتُ هَؤُلَاءِ (فِي مَحَلِّ نَصْبٍ)، سَلَّمْتُ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ (فِي مَحَلِّ جَرٍّ). المُعْرَبُ وَالمَبْنِيُّ مِنَ الأَسْمَاءِ: الأَسْمَاءُ كُلُّهَا مُعْرَبَةٌ مَا عَدَا الفِئَاتِ الآتِيَةَ: (١) الضَّمَائِرُ، مِثْلُ: هُوَ، هُمْ، أَنْتَ، أَنْتُمْ، أَنَا، ذَهَبْتُ، قَالُوا (هَذِهِ ضَمَائِرُ الرَّفْعِ).

- Lesson One: I'rab (Declension) and Bina' (Indeclinability).
- الاِسْمُ إِمَّا مُعْرَبٌ وَإِمَّا مَبْنِيٌّ.
- The noun is either declinable (mu'rab) or indeclinable (mabni).
- (أ) فِي الأَسْمَاءِ: فَالمُعْرَبُ مَا تَغَيَّرَ آخِرُهُ بِسَبَبِ العَامِلِ، نَحْوَ: جَاءَ المُدَرِّسُ (مَرْفُوعٌ)، سَأَلْتُ المُدَرِّسَ (مَنْصُوبٌ)، سَلَّمْتُ عَلَى المُدَرِّسِ (مَجْرُورٌ).
- (A) Regarding nouns: The declinable (mu'rab) is that whose ending changes due to the governing agent (amil), such as: The teacher came (nominative), I asked the teacher (accusative), I greeted the teacher (genitive).
- وَالمَبْنِيُّ مَا لَا يَتَغَيَّرُ آخِرُهُ بِسَبَبِ العَامِلِ، نَحْوَ: جَاءَ هَؤُلَاءِ (فِي مَحَلِّ رَفْعٍ)، سَأَلْتُ هَؤُلَاءِ (فِي مَحَلِّ نَصْبٍ)، سَلَّمْتُ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ (فِي مَحَلِّ جَرٍّ).
- The indeclinable (mabni) is that whose ending does not change due to the governing agent, such as: These came (in the position of nominative), I asked these (in the position of accusative), I greeted these (in the position of genitive).
- المُعْرَبُ وَالمَبْنِيُّ مِنَ الأَسْمَاءِ: الأَسْمَاءُ كُلُّهَا مُعْرَبَةٌ مَا عَدَا الفِئَاتِ الآتِيَةَ:
- The declinable and indeclinable among nouns: All nouns are declinable except for the following categories:
- (١) الضَّمَائِرُ، مِثْلُ: هُوَ، هُمْ، أَنْتَ، أَنْتُمْ، أَنَا، ذَهَبْتُ، قَالُوا (هَذِهِ ضَمَائِرُ الرَّفْعِ).
- (1) Pronouns, such as: he, they, you (masculine singular), you (masculine plural), I, I went, they said (these are nominative pronouns).
