General Review.

أَوَّلًا القِرَاءَةُ : أَقْرَأُ ثُمَّ أُجِيبُ : «الهُويَّةُ هِيَ مَا يُمَيِّزُ كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ عَنْ غَيْرِهِ، فَهِيَ مَجْمُوعَةٌ مِنَ الصِّفَاتِ الَّتِي تَجْعَلُ الْفَرْدَ يَعْرِفُ نَفْسَهُ وَيَعْتَزُّ بِهَا.

First, Reading: Read and answer: "Identity is what distinguishes every human being from others; it is a set of traits that allow an individual to know themselves and take pride in who they are."

وَتَشْمَلُ الهُويَّةُ اللُّغَةَ وَالدِّينَ وَالثَّقَافَةَ وَالْعَادَاتِ وَالتَّقَالِيدَ وَالِانْتِمَاءَ، فَعِنْدَمَا تَقُولُ (أَنَا مِصْرِيٌّ) أَوْ (أَنَا عَرَبِيٌّ) فَأَنْتَ تُعَبِّرُ عَنْ جُزْءٍ مِنْ هُويَّتِكَ، وَاللُّغَةُ الْعَرَبِيَّةُ جُزْءٌ أَسَاسِيٌّ مِنْ هُويَّتِنَا؛ لِأَنَّهَا تَرْبِطُنَا بِمَاضِينَا وَتُعَرِّفُنَا نِقَاطَ الْقُوَّةِ وَالِاعْتِزَازِ وَدَوْرَ أَجْدَادِنَا فِي بِنَاءِ الْحَضَارَةِ، وَتُسَاعِدُنَا عَلَى فَهْمِ حَاضِرِنَا وَالتَّوَاصُلِ مَعَ مَنْ حَوْلَنَا.

Identity includes language, religion, culture, customs, traditions, and a sense of belonging. When you say, "I am Egyptian" or "I am Arab," you are expressing a part of your identity. The Arabic language is a fundamental part of our identity because it connects us to our past, highlights our strengths and pride, reminds us of our ancestors' role in building civilization, and helps us understand our present and communicate with those around us.

وَنَحْنُ - الْمِصْرِيِّينَ - يَجِبُ أَنْ نَتَمَسَّكَ بِهُويَّتِنَا وَنَفْتَخِرَ بِهَا دَائِمًا مَعَ احْتِرَامِنَا لِهُويَّاتِ الْآخَرِينَ؛ فَالْهُويَّةُ لَا تَعْنِي الِانْغِلَاقَ بَلْ تَعْنِي أَنْ نَعْرِفَ مَنْ نَحْنُ أَوَّلًا، ثُمَّ نَتَفَتَّحَ عَلَى الْعَالَمِ بِكُلِّ ثِقَةٍ وَاحْتِرَامٍ وَتَقْدِيرٍ».

We Egyptians must hold on to our identity and always take pride in it while respecting the identities of others. Identity does not mean isolation; it means knowing who we are first, then opening up to the world with full confidence, respect, and appreciation."

أُحَدِّدُ مَعْنَى كَلِمَة «يَعْتَزُّ» فِي سِيَاقِ الْفِقْرَةِ: يَتَطَوَّرُ. يَفْتَخِرُ. يَسْعَدُ. يَتَمَيَّزُ.

Define the word "ya'tazzu" (takes pride) in the context of the paragraph: develops, takes pride, becomes happy, distinguishes.

لِمَاذَا تُعَدُّ اللُّغَةُ الْعَرَبِيَّةُ جُزْءًا رَئِيسًا مِنْ هُويَّتِنَا؟

ثَانِيًا النُّصُوصُ: اقْرَأْ ثُمَّ أُجِيبُ: يَتِمُّ تَحْدِيدُ مَعْنَى الْكَلِمَةِ مِنْ خِلَالِ سِيَاقِهَا فِي جُمْلَتِهَا، مِثْلَ: هَوَى الْوَلَدُ الرَّسْمَ. هَوَى الْبِنَاءُ. بِمَعْنَى (أَحَبَّ). بِمَعْنَى (سَقَطَ).

Second, Texts: Read and answer: The meaning of a word is determined by its context in a sentence, for example: The boy loved (hawa) drawing. The building fell (hawa). Meaning (loved). Meaning (fell).

يَا نِيلُ مَاؤُكَ لِلْوُجُودِ هِدَايَةٌ ... عَاشَتْ عَلَى دَرْبِ السِّنِينَ مَنَارَا.

O Nile, your water is a guide for existence... you have lived as a beacon along the path of the years.

مَا كَانَ حُبُّكَ فِي دِمَائِي رَغْبَةً ... مَحْمُومَةً مَا جِئْتُهُ مُخْتَارَا.

Your love in my blood was not a feverish desire... I did not come to it by choice.

قَدَّرَ هَوَاكَ وَقَدْ بَقِيتُ بِسِرِّهِ .. إِنْ ضِقْتُ يَوْمًا لَا أُطِيقُ فِرَارَا.

Your love was destined, and I have remained with its secret... If I am distressed one day, I cannot bear to flee.

أَتَخَيَّرُ الْإِجَابَةَ الصَّحِيحَةَ مِمَّا بَيْنَ الْقَوْسَيْنِ لِمَا يَلِي:

Choose the correct answer from the parentheses for the following:

1) مُضَادُّ «مُخْتَارًا»: (مُجْبَرًا - مُهَانًا - رَافِضًا - ثَائِرًا).
